I became a Caregiver because I want to be there for someone who needs help. I think of my residents or clients as my own family (my Grandmother or Grandfather or Parents). What I like about it is, it is a personal interaction with the clients. I get the opportunity to take care of them on their families' behalf and also get to know them as a person. I am being given a chance to show my compassion and treat a client with utmost respect and dignity as a human being and not just another paycheck. My personal achievement I am proud of, is when I worked at my last employer, I have families' asking for me to take care of their parents and they would leave notes for me in my mailbox saying how great I am and how they loved when they saw how I interact with their parents. A little info about me, I am an aspiring nursing student and have been working as a Caregiver for 8 years. Working with seniors as a CNA with Alzheimer's' and Dementia. I have recently moved to Florida from Michigan, and currently I do not have my CNA license for this state. I am pursuing on getting it for the State of Florida as I am planning to stay here permanently until I get to my Nursing. I am Filipino and Flipinos are known for their compassion and respect for the elderly. I love my clients and as I have mentioned, I make it personal and treat them as my own. My AHCA Level 2 Background Check has been done, that is why I did not do mine on CareLinx. I also am awaiting for my State Exam Licensure for CNA.
