I was employed with a doctor of Internal Medicine as an office assistant but I found I preferred working more closely with the patients than that position afforded me. I have extensive experience with taking care of the elderly and the terminally ill as I have taken care of both my grandmother and my terminally ill daughter. My grandmother lived to be 97 and I took care of all her needs till till she was taken to a nursing home by my aunt 2 years before her death. Also, I took care of my daughter who fought a three year battle with osteoscarcoma. After a short recovery she relapse and the tumors began growing in her lungs. She was on hospice care with Gilchrist and they came once a week for 15 minute visits thus the bulk of her care was administered by me till she passed away at home. I have done much charity work including, work with the homeless, senior center enrichment classes (crochet), and Meals on Wheels. I enjoy being outside and taking walks, animals of all kinds, and reading. I am a quiet and patient individual and have great compassion for all but especially the young, elderly and ill. I am at my best with one on one interactions where bonds and friendships can be made. It is my desire to move to PA, between the Shrewsbury and York area so I am very interested in Norther MD, York to Southern PA positions.
