As far as I can remember, I wanted to have a nursing career. After seeing my Grandmother battle cancer from the age of 10, I became increasingly nurturing and protective of her as time went on. Being a caregiver comes naturally, I cared for and provided home care and assistant hospice care for my Grandmother with Alzheimer's and my Grandfather with Metastatic Cancer until their passing. The things that I love about being a Caregiver is making clients comfortable, happy and confident that they are properly being cared for. Smiles..... I love smiles! A personal achievement that I am proud of is the Medical knowledge that I have gained and continue to gain throughout the years either in a clinical or home care setting. I am able to create a special relationship with my clients focusing on their likes and dislikes, creativities, passions and also speaking in a way that each individual client responds to. I live to make smiles!

I am a very out going person, I love getting to know my residents and I love helping them with anything and everything they need. Residents always ask me about my life and I am more than willing to open up to them to a point. I feel that a bound is needing for that trust and comfort to fall into place. I became a caregiver because I love giving back to those who have done their part in the world. In 2016 my great grandma was put onto hospice and she asked me to help her with everything and I was honored and I loved helping her. I love being able to connect with my residents.

I am a trustworthy caregiver because I am caring, hardworking, and reliable. I just finished my first year of nursing school through NAU, and I have experience as a certified nursing assistant. I have the skills and experience needed to be a caregiver.

I have worked with seniors in many capacities over the past 35 years from home care assistance and companion care, to creating community wellness programs/events to education and to support and referral to community resources. Most recently I care for both of my parents before they passed away last year. This experience along with the home care I provided to a special veteran with dementia a few years ago until he passed, made me realize that my heart and soul are in this field. I wish to treat other people's parents as well as I wished for my parents to be treated. I look forward to working with seniors while providing respectful, loving and gentle care that they deserve!
