I've been a caregiver all my life. I grew up with my grandmother since I was a little girl. I have learned to be patient and understanding when caring for my clients. The greatest reward I've experienced being a caregiver is always making my clients satisfied of my service that they look forward to seeing me again.

I'm a very kind personality and down to earth, have soft voices and loving person, I'started taking care my parent for 10 yrs around 2000 until they both passed in2010 then i decided to reach out to other elderly and families who need help with their parents and loved one.

I have a full knowledge of the needs of patients in all stages of illness. I treated my patients with ki ndness, respect & dignity as my own family. I become a caregiver because I have an experienced in the marines as a paramedic. I am happy to serve/help elderly people as my own parents. My personal achievement I am proud of when my one patient/client doctors told that she will only live for one month but with my care she lives up to six months to be with her family.

I am very passionate about being caregiver and I have good patience. I enjoy helping out clients who don't have the extra help they need. A personal achievement would be me going to school to become a medical assistant and graduating .

I have 20+ years of experience in the healthcare industry specifically in the role of caregiver. I've always had a love of taking care of people. My earliest memories Consisted of playing hospital with my Barbie dolls and pretending to take care of them as if I were in a real hospital setting! I would bathe them, dress them, administer injections etc. That love stayed with me throughout my childhood to present day. Although I've gone to school and acquired all of the proper credentials needed to work in hospitals etc., I missed that special feeling you get via the relationships and bonds that developed when giving one on one care to a client which I felt was lacking in the hospital setting. I am at my happiest when I am able to bring a smile to my clients face through the services that I provide for them personally and I really enjoy providing companionship as well. When my dad fell ill, I gave up everything to focus on taking care of him personally. In addition to the clinical portion of caring for him we watched TV together, shared deep conversations and stories of his childhood and mine, I prepared his favorite meals etc. And when it was my dad's time, I walked away from it with life long memories that I have passed along to my children who I hope will pass it on to their children and so on!

Hello My name is Doretta Harden I'm a proud mama of 2 sons age 11 and 13. I'm passionate about understanding the importance in raising not just sons but men of community and they will be husbands one day. For 15 years with out hesitation I knew the importance of making sure my mother had the proper care so I became her caregiver. In doing so I did not know that taking care of my mother would give me purpose, meaning and add value to my life while I was giving her quality of life until I watched her take her very last breath. During those 15 years I was taught by her physical therapist the proper way of transporting her in and out of bed and to and from my vehicle. I would encourage her every day to take a few steps with her walker. I would transport her to all her doctors appointments every three months making sure I was her voice when it became difficult for her to answer questions. I became her power of attorney to I could sign her name when she could no longer do so. I stayed on top of reminding her of her medication while staying in constant communication with her nurse and her health Plan. I helped with bathing, Assisting two and from the bathroom when she could to make sure she was clean, and every evening helping her have put on her adult diaper and every morning changing her depends also making sure that if there were any accidents in the night making sure her bed stayed clean so she did not develop any sores and if so I made sure she got the proper aid to heal her skin. I always made sure her skin stayed hydrated leaving her feeling good and comfortable. I learned in through caregiving the most important job was companionship being by her side every day getting her to activities to buying her favorite snacks, watching her favorite shows whatever was needed to keep my mother in my life. That bond was be companionship for that Im honored that I was able to care for my mother because I was able to be by her side for the last years of her life.

What makes me a great caregiver is my compassion and empathy, my desire to help and be beneficial to others. My strength lies in my abilities to understand what is needed in helping my client achieve better health care outcomes. Having a background in healthcare of over 30 years experience taking care of clients from newborns to centurions. I'm trained postoperative rehabilitations and hospice care. My experience as both a registered nurse and chiropractor affords me insight into skills that are needed when taking care of clients with broad healthcare needs.

I am a responsible, reliable and compassionate caregiver with years of experience in geriatric care within private homes and assisted living communities. The reward of being a caregiver is priceless and my passion of caring for others comes from experience. One of my fondest memories is being in the kitchen with my Aunt, we love to cook together. It was everything I looked forward to after a long day at school or work. Then her symptoms of arthritis worsened and she was no longer able to do what she loved on her own. Helping my Aunt and others like her that are going through their process is the reason I am a caregiver today. It allows me to care for others in the same way I would want my family members to be treated.

Being a caregiver is somewhat rewarding. I get to help people in their golden years. I lost both my parents when I was young that's why I consider each and every one of my clients as my own.
