I am personable and enjoy being a home care provider. I became a caregiver because I wanted to help others by assisting them with their activities of daily living. I enjoyed caring for many seniors over the years and learned quite a lot from them. I believe I'm a great caregiver because I have had extensive training in a skilled nursing facility as well as in many private homes. I also enjoy seeing the difference that I often make in people's lives. I became a nursing assistant back in 1982 and acquired my Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license at the convalescent hospital where I worked. I then went on to work for several home care agencies and acquired my Certified Home HeaIth Aide (CHHA) license. I have worked as an independent contractor caregiver for years. I am willing to commute for full-time employment. I have great references and will be happy to submit them upon request.

I am a Registered Nurse currently working with a developmentally delayed individual in his home. I have worked with all age groups in a variety of settings such as in-home care, residential care, skilled nursing, clinics, hospitals, hospice, etc. I have had licensure/certification as a CNA, DA, EMT, RN and have also worked as a childcare provider, restaurant employee and manager/supervisor. I am a very upbeat and happy person. I love to make people smile, laugh and enjoy life. I am kind, patient, dependable, honest, trustworthy, gentle, hard working, intelligent, compassionate, understanding, and have a great sense of humor. I love animals, all of them! My favorite place to be is outdoors, primarily hiking and swimming. I truly enjoy meeting new people. I also love spending time with my family, friends, and pets. I enjoy reading, writing, board and card games, movies, cleaning, cooking. When my fraternal grandmother entered a care home when I was 12, I went to visit her every day. I was shocked to see how many elderly patients had no one who visited them. So I unofficially became a volunteer and would visit other residents; reading to them, talking, playing games, dancing, whatever brought a little joy back into their lives. Caregiving has been a part of my life ever since. I took care of my maternal grandmother who had severe rheumatoid arthritis and Dementia in her home until she passed away. I then moved my mother in with me when she was first diagnosed with Alzheimers and cared for her until her death 10 years later. I also cared for one of my brothers who was diagnosed with end stage Dementia at the age of 58 and passed away right before his 61st birthday. So I completely understand what loved ones must go through as family members become older, sick, or suffer from an injury. What I enjoy most about being a Caregiver is simply helping someone who needs it, especially if it allows them to remain in their own home. A personal achievement that I am proud of is raising such loving, kind, respectful, and amazing children.

Have been a caregiver for 7 years. Was a cna for 5 years and have aquired skills needed to be a caregiver as well as being experienced with different type of people in all walks of life. I love being able to provide care and make someone's day better. Knowing that I made a difference in someone's life is the ultimate blessing. Recommendation from my last clients: She is good at what she does and handles everything in a very thoughtful and humane manner. Our house is always hygienically clean. She was always running up and down the stairs getting things done around the house. We always had heart healthy meals prepared/made. Shes very attentive and caring, and always goes out of her way to do extra for us. We always tell her shes the best. She has an open attitude. We never had to worry about being without care or telling her what to do. Recommendation from my last supervisor: I had no issues with her during our time with us. She is always reliable and on time. When she has called in due to being sick she has always made up her hours with each of her clients so they did not lose time. I grew up in a family of ten children and my grand mother lived with us. There was always things to do, people to care for. I loved it! And I still do today! I am available for two 24 hr shifts per week , or full time work, or part time evenings, weekens, eves, or night. I've been caring for others professionally for twelve years.
