I began my caregiving career as a skilled CNA in a nursing home at the Care Center in Oakdale. Once I perfected my skills and with the proper work-methods, I resumed my work ethics at Oak Valley Hospital in the Rehabilitation Center; and was promoted by The Director of Nursing to a RNA position ( Restorative Nursing Assistant) working directly with professionals such as PT, PTA, Speech Specialists, RNs and Doctors. It was my absolute pleasure to see my patients regain their health and return home to loved ones. With my acquired experience and knowledge, great compassion and kindness, I became an independent caregiver and have worked as a private caregiver for over 15 yrs. I love what I do. I have met many wonderful clients and family loved ones; and graciously, I have received many letters of recognition. Through my caregiving process, I have worked diligently along side Hospice, applying my nursing skills to bring comfort to dying patients. My goal is to bring a quality of life to my clients with much joy and with a compassion filled with gentle kindness. Hoyer lifts GI feeding tubed , colostomy bags, nebulizers, sleep apnea monitors and many more. I have alot of experience and not much I haven't done. I specialized and dementia and Alzheimer's. . I have been involved in working in the healthcare field for over the past 20 years now. I really enjoy taking care of my clients. I show them a lot of empathy and compassion. I like to do what I can to make my clients feel special. I always go the extra mile to keep them happy. What attracted me most about being a good caregiver? This gives me a lot of joy to take care of people. It makes me feel special in my heart to let them know that I am dependable, compassionate, and trustworthy. The three things that I enjoy about being a caregiver are 1. treating a person like a family member 2. I have developed a lot of good relationships with my clients and their family members. 3. I also love to help people through their disease process. One of my personal achievements that I am proud of is my children who I love very much. Also, I am also pleased to say that I received my first degree in Healthcare Management in 2018. I am a fun and outgoing social person . I enjoy helping with taking care of the elderly because I enjoy hearing about their own experiences with what they did in their own lives and hearing their own stories about how they grew up what attracted me to become a caregiver is I enjoy helping individuals in a time of need where they feel most vulnerable and need someone to talk to and socialize with when they feel alone. I am 25 years old, I have been a caregiver for a span of 4 years so far! Everything about being a caregiver is so important to me, from the tidy housekeeping, to companionship and client support is all crucial to me. I have patience, and time management, I love to be friendly and carry a conversation, I feel that a client isn't just a "client" they are someones mom or dad, sister or brother, daughter or son, they have a life, a story behind the care they need, and as a caregiver I enjoy being the support that families can have not just for the individual needing care, but for the family to feel safe with me as their caregiver.

The reason I became a caregiver was because my grandmother died alone in a nursing home. I have also worked in facilities. I left due to the fact I didn't like the way the clients were treated I couldn't give them enough attention. The reason why I love working in homes with one or two clients at a time is because you get to know them you get to bond with them and they become like family. 80% of my clients I have stayed with till the end and that is because most of my clients are terminal.

My Last Job was a little over 2 years ago. Caring for a couple Husband and wife. Full care for both. Husband was blind, his wife was crippled and had a colostomy bag. duties including bathing, dressing , cooking . helping with bathroom duties , changing the colostomy bag. Light house keeping Doctor Appointments, Shopping, Visiting with them. Both people were a joy to help. She passed on suddenly and sadly he followed within weeks. This was in late 2021 I have been caring for myself and enjoying my family since then. I have 30 years worth of care giving , so many jobs I am sure I have forgotten about some perhaps a job I had for a week then the client passed on. Some Jobs only lasted a few weeks others a few years. They range from quadriplegic to just needing companionship years and years worth of experience. Nothing can train a person like hands on Nothing . Two things that no one can train a person for are love for people and Compassion these are not skills that can be taught yet they are a major component in this field. you take that Compassion add it to a deep desire to learn and help and you end up with a fantastic Caregiver No two personality's are alike you learn people it is a amazing journey.
