My name Z-dell, I have been a certified nursing assistant for 27 years, and still counting... I'm well rounded I have with nursing homes, assisted living, private duty, hospitals 1:1, mental health, special needs adults and children, autism, cerebral palsy individuals. When you as an individual in the health care field, you have to truly CARE, about the people you are responsible for at the time whom you are giving care to but that's in general in life, you have to LOVE people. And TRUE LOVE come from GOD... We have to place CHRIST first, in all we do, it will make you great at whatever level your expertise is, I will honestly tell you that is why I'm GOOD at what I do as a CAREGIVER.

I love to make people smile. Caregiving became my passion around the age of 12. My mother who is an RN, opened her first home care business. The rest was history as they say! Hearing the stories from the past, life lessons, experiences from people who were light years ahead of me. It's been a joy getting to know different cultures & views. My passion is helping those who can't help themselves. A majority of the people I take care of are veterans. I wouldn't have it any other way! Sacrificing for the people who have done for the same for us is nothing less than an honor. My proudest achievement would be that people remember me & ask for me even when my work with them is done. Even though I've been employee of the month multiple times. Nothing compares to hearing from your residents mouth that they appreciate you for all you do.

I love to listen & learn from elderly people. They have so much wisdom & have lived interesting lives. I love to listen to their experiences. Once I had my back injury ( as an x-ray tech in 2010) I could no longer work 10-12 hr. shifts so I looked for a second career. A friend was doing Home Health Care for a Ms. Helen over the Christmas season & needed time off to be with her family. I was to fill in for 10 days but ended up staying for 4 years until I moved to Florida. I love working 1 on 1 with a person & their family. It is a joy to see them make little improvements along the way or just a big smile or thank you for making their favorite food or meal. My personal achievement is knowing I give 100% to my client & treat them like a family member. My clients have been both females & males. I treat them the same as I would treat my Mom or Dad. I have taken additional classes & have experience with Dementia, Alzheimer & Parkinson clients. Each person is unique in their own way, a real person with feelings & emotions. I have 20 + years Professional CNA work in Ft. Myers and Islands & Beaches areas, including as a Team Manger. My experiences in Home Health also started in Ohio. My skills are vast and inclusive to ADL's, dementia, Special Diets ( ie -FODMAP) and more. I'm fully licensed, insured, previous ACHA background check, CEU's, and have many references. I'm used to personal referrals but also have been on the F.I.S.H. Services Caregiver List- a United Way Credited Agency providing leads and connections to residents and 'Snowbirds', throughout the Islands (Sanibel/Captiva), and in earliest days did work through other agency referrals. Relocated-- I am a Survivor of Hurricane Ian in Ft. Myers, Ft. Myers Beach, last year, Sept 2022. I was drawn to the Ocala area through a friend/associate offering respite or whatever I needed and became enthused by it all here. I'm now a homeowner so have been busy with early repairs, upkeep and then a new roof.
