I have had to deal with several loved ones with serious illness and chose to take care of them myself. i feel its very important that my clients feel loved and worthy. i like to keep a smile on their faces. i make sure my clients know they are not in this alone and its very important to keep their moral up. its been medically proven that most patients going thru a serious illness do much better and recover quicker if you can keep their moral up. if i can help do that then i feel im doing my job correctly.

The reason I had got into the nursing care was after my husband had bypass surgery, caring for his special needs inspired me to look for a field in this career. I'm a compassionate caregiver and CNA with 20+ years experience providing in-home patient care. Assissting patients with ADL, meal preparation, restorative care and doctor visits. Longest case was with 2 elderly/disabled patients providing non-medical in-home care service for 13 years.

English speaking/Irish/English...local Key Largo resident with 20 years plus experience taking care of the sick and elderly with private live in care as well as 12 to 24 hour shifts night or day, vacation getaways, travel/boat companion...own reliable transportation...I am familiar with and have worked with patients with stroke, Parkinson's disease, neuropathy, alcoholism, dementia and Alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis, stage 4 liver cirrhosis, blind /deaf and handicapped/disabled, stage 4 cancer patients, brain damage/coma patients, sick/elderly couples, hospice care, obesity, diabetes, as well as being familiar with breathing, feeding, catheters and Ostomies. Clean level 2 background screening, working well with others and am a team player. I also have my National phlebotomy certification so I may travel in any of the states and draw blood if needed as well as my CPR certification. I went to Remedies Institute of Health Care Sciences for my national phlebotomy technician, CPR and CNA. I obtained 120 hours completion through the CNA course and averaged straight A's throughout the program. I am up to date with all of my CEUs and recently obtained my HHA certification. Living right near the 18 mile stretch, I am capable of being in Homestead, Key Largo, Tavernier or Islamorada within a reasonable time frame.... 20 to 30 minutes. My heart will always stay within the nursing field and to help those in need.
