I have a Registered Nursing background and was an RN up north for many years. I left my career to take care of my Mother full time, who suffered from Alzheimer's Disease with dementia. When the time came to renew my license, I couldn't afford it and had to let it expire. Now, in order to get my license down here in FL, I have to obtain the money to pay for classes and re-licensure. This may take some time. In the meantime, I do have all the experience and knowledge of a Registered Nurse and have worked in Several different fields and with many different people.

I have 16yrs experience in healthcare. Started in a mental health facility where I received my CNA and QMA certification. After 4 years there went to a long term care facility. Administering medication, bathing, feeding, transferring, dressing, helping with daily care needs are some of skills I can offer. Worked with Alzheimer's, dementia, surgery recovery and long term care.
Always liked being a caregiver. Even when I stopped being a CNA/QMA, I still worked in a healthcare environment. i.e. Maintenance tech, central supply manager and transportation.
What I enjoyed most was just making them comfortable. Spending time with them so they know you care.
I have been a professional caregiver most of my adult life. I have been given the privilege of caring for a child that has a diagnosis of severe and profound mentally handicapped to caring for family members and close friends that need respite care to give the family some down time.
I currently take care of a senior in Clearwater Fl. I provide skills of daily living along with daily physical activity. I also encourage social activities such as playing board games, cards and puzzles. This can help with memory and cognitive skills I hope this gives you an idea of my passion and the type of work ethic I hold myself too.
With Kindness,
Annie
Hello, I am an experienced care giver companion who genuinely likes helping people. My experience is with the elderly suffering from mid stage Alzheimer's, stroke recovery, vision impairment and limited mobility. I am very kind and compassionate as well as organized and trustworthy. I am intelligent and resourceful and I get along very well with my clients and their families.
I like to work directly for clients, bypassing the agency mark up, establishing a semi permanent arrangement with the client/family. I have letters of recommendation from the two different out of town daughters. One of a couple I cared (89,92), who I eventually helped move to assisted living.
I live in Largo FL adjacent to Indian Rocks Beach and Bellaire Beach. I have an AHCA level 2 backround check and my BLS. I completed a CNA prep course and I received a HHA through a local agency. I have an associate's degree + several courses at St. Petersburg College toward by BA. I do not have children which gives me a lot of flexibility.
Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon.
