I've been a Florida resident for over 20yrs. Went to Southwest Florida College. Earned 3 degrees in Criminal Justice and Medical Assisting. Finally earning a Bachelor's in Public Safety Administration . Single mother to beautiful daughters and have 8 wonderful grandchildren with 2 great-children. I am thankful for being able to give people who know that they are special a little more loving showered upon them.

Like a lot of people who are caregivers I started out taking care of a loved one, who was suffering from Lupus and Heart Disease. She was a retired nurse who was full of knowledge and more than happy to pass it on to me during the ten years I took care of her. I found that not only was I a very good caregiver but that I actually enjoyed it and found it very fulfilling! I think one of the most important things I learned while caring for seniors is that even though they may need help with many different things, some of which are very personal, they are still an adult not a child. I've found people appreciate that, I know I would if the situation was reversed. My second ten years in this business have been helping wonderful people who have found themselves in need of quality care. Their conditions have included Diabetes, Parkinson, Strokes, Dementia and Alzheimer's and other ailments. Some have just needed a little help and companionship. I was very happy that I could be there for them and make a difference in their day with whatever level of care they needed, and to help the family feel confident that their loved one had someone competent and caring to depend on. I have many hand written references that I have received over the years that I can share with you in person.

Im new to Florida I moved here in the end of July 2014 I believe in taking care of those who cannot do so themselves. I have achieved alot in my years from hospice care to critical care .Im a 57 year old male who did hospices from 1985 thru 2020. I obtained my lna license in NH in 2007 and received my license here in Aug 2014 I love what I do and believe home is MUCH better then a rehab or nursing facility its one on one rather then sharing with 15 others. I have received several awards for doing my job as well as i have many references that are available upon request. My last clients were24/7 both husband and wife he passed Jan 2017 and she passed oct 2019 just shy of 90 years old.I did not work in 2020 but resumed with a client in 2021 with end stage Alzheimer's which he just passed feb 8,2022. I'm a fun loving caring lady, who has a sparkling personality to share with anyone. I always get along with everyone the client and there family's. If I do come across at the client that reject me, i'm not easily mislead. I try and find out all I can about them and do my best to break the ice (to say). I wanted to be a caregiver to the older generation. I find that they have the best stories and bring more laughter to me. The most important thing I enjoy most is that I get to care for other people going through the different stages of there life's. My personal achievement is that I raised 3 amazing kids after a tragic up bringing we all suffered ( losing there "Dad" at a young age). They all turned out very successful and still climbing the ladder.

I pride myself on my listening skills with my clients and their families. I was the oldest of six children and both my parents worked full time jobs and acquired caregiving skills at an early age. I became interested in nursing when my 2 week old daughter required a tracheotomy. I have worked as a CNA for 20 years in nursing homes and 4 years now in home health care.
