I became a caregiver when my grandmother got sick with lung and brain cancer. I moved in with her to take care of her. I love being a caregiver because I've always loved helping people. I was asked to stay with a friend's Mom and Dad for a week while their caregiver went on a Mission Trip. I ended up continuing to care for that couple for 10 years. . I am still enjoying being a caregiver. I like helping people. I treat them the way I would want someone to treat my loved one. One personal achievement I am proud of is my volunteering. I delivered Meals on wheels for about 6 years. Then I worked with the Alzheimer's Association for (6) years raising money for the Walk to End Alzheimer's. I also worked with the Military Ministry at my local church. I am married with two adult children. My husband and I will celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary this year.
