I became a caregiver because I had always wanted to be a nurse when I was younger. Also, my best friend/sister-in-law became very ill at an early age and I had wanted to take care of her but never got the chance as she passed away at age 44. My mom also became ill shortly thereafter and I promised that she would never go to a nursing home. My intention was to care for her in my home, but unfortunately she never made it home from the hospital. I vowed that if I could not help my own family then I would help someone else. I love being able to help people stay in their homes as long as possible and having the family reassured that their loved ones are being cared for in their absence. My personal achievements that I am proud of are being with two of my clients until the end of their life and knowing that I made things a bit easier for their families. As for myself, I am the mother of four sons and grew up with five older brothers.

Ive been a caregiver for about 10 years. 5 years certified. When I got started in this field it was out of necessity. My grandmother had a stroke and i had no choice. I didn't even want to be a caregiver. After about a year my grandmother passed away. But the feeling that i got from being able to care for her like she cared for me was indescribable. First time I felt i had contributed something; actually helped somebody. Like I made a difference, like i made her last days better. 10 years later I cant picture myself doing anything else. I love what I do. And everytime I help a client or they smile and say thank you its like helping my grandmother all over again.

I'm very outgoing I love doing anything outside gardening any activities I'm always wanting to keep good vibes and be happy and keep the peace at all times as much as possible. What got me started on doing caregiving was my brother was hit by a car when he was eight years old and we needed to care for him a lot so I had a lot of experience with that with my brother he had several surgeries almost had an amputation, but luckily, we saved his leg And also my mom I know she's going to be getting older as well and I knew she would eventually need care, but I also fell in love with this job when I got into this field. I've been doing this line of work for eight years and I've enjoyed every moment with every patient that I have had the privilege of encountering with. The one thing I enjoy about being a caregiver is the love the care that I give, and seeing the patient's face after you have helped them with things that they can no longer do themselves. It brings me joy and I know the good Lord above has put me in this line of work for a reason. I love to see the smiles on there faces when I have helped them with tasks. The one thing that I am proud of is my job and my daughter. I couldn't be more proud of the life. I've been given with my daughter, and I can't be more proud of the job that I have been given through these eight years. I do have a nine-year-old daughter her name is Addie I love to be outside. I love music is one of my favorite things. My favorite colors is purple. And I am obsessed with Harry Potter is one of my favorite movies. Those are just a few of my favorite things.
