From the age of 12 My Grandmother suffered from many illnesses ( Diabetes, Dementia, and Alzheimer's along with Several Strokes). Growing up in a family oriented environment I felt it was my duty to help/assist her. Every since then I knew that this was the field I wanted to pursue my career in. I love helping people and I enjoy making them smile . I became a caregiver because my mother was a nurse for 40 years. Health Care was my second language at home because that's all my family love to talk about. My daughter is special needs and my grandson had autism. I became a caregiver when I was still going to school when I would visit the Elderly Home and assist the patient with bathing, feeding, take them for walks....then my dad took sick when I had to care for him. That's when I became a Caregiver.
