I Am Trustworthy And Dependable Love My Ministry Comforting Others While Helping And Caring For Others Not Knowing That I Would Be Taking Care Of My Husband Who Was Diagnose With Bone Cancer I Was His Hospice CNA For All Most Two Years At Home He Was Grateful That I Had The Experience And So Was I This Is Truly A Gift From God To Be Able To Meet And Work With So Many Wonderful People I Also Have References To Prove My History Of Work I Have Been In The Field As A C.N.A For 32 yrs. And I Am Glad To Say I Am Not Burn Out Or Tired Of My Ministry Caring For Others. It Was Truly A Honor To Be My Husband Personal Hospice C.N.A Before He Passed I Often Would Hear Him Telling Family Members And Friends How He Was Proud And Glad He To Have Me As His Care Giver Knowing What To Do For Him And Making It Easy For Him To Be Home Also Northwestern Hospice Register Nurse Along With Their Team Was Very Please With The Care For My Husband That I Was Able To Give Him It Was A Joy Full Of Precious Memories My Experience Is Working Hospital, Nursing Home, Private Duty, Live In-Live Out,Hospice, Setter Cases 32yrs Of Service.

After a massive Corporate downsizing, I have changed careers and turned to the Healthcare field. I have over 30 years experience taking care of family and clients, ranging from neonatal, special needs including quadriplegia, to hospice care. The last 20 years have also included dementia/stroke, oxygen, TPN, feeding tubes and post operative care. In addition, I have also been asked by 2 clients to become their personal assistant. This included travel to the grocery store, doctor appointments, downsizing homes, moving packing and unpacking, traveling across country and also property managed my clients home while it was on the market to sell. Hello! My names is Kelsey! I am a mother of two amazing little boys! 3 and 1 I have been in the caregiving industry for a little over 6 years now, I have experienced everything you can think of.. I love what I do, and I enjoy coming in to each of my clients lives, and getting to know them on a personal level! I graduated from Rasmussen college with my diploma in medical assisting in April of 2021, covid had hit and I decided I didn't want to be in the doctors office, rather one on one with a client in caregiving. I became an LPN in 1992. My career as a nurse was primarily in assisted living, Alzheimer's assisted living and nursing homes. I hurt my back, at home, in 2003 and have had surgeries to correct slipped discs. I can, however, help care for people where lifting is not required. I've been working for a man who had a stroke for 5 years as of 10/2019. They are a wonderful family and will gladly give a reference if requested. I also worked around 4&1/2 years for a lady who cares for the elderly in a couple of houses she owns in Aurora. I had to leave there in August 2019 as lifting was becoming inevitable there. But I did enjoy it. I did light cleaning, laundry, medication administration, light dressing, toileting and cooked and served meals. I also provided simple companionship. I also cared for my elderly grandparents. My grandma had Alzheimer's. It was very difficult for me but, I was extremely close to them and loved them dearly.

Being a caregiver has become the most rewarding job. I worked closely with a family the last three years, and being able to provide in home care, and allowing husband and wife to stay together was wonderful. I have 20+years of experience.
