Hi my name is Ruthy I'm from the Philippines and I've been working as a CNA for 9 years, my first job was in a nursing home for 5 years I love my job because I like to help people especially elderly it reminds me of my grandparents. When I was in a nursing home I worked or experienced a lot of cases like people that has any stage of Alzheimer's, Dementia, Parkinson, multiple sclerosis, stroke and more. And now I work as a private caregiver for 4 years which includes housekeeping, running errands, preparing meal or cooking food.

I have been a C.N.A for over 20 yrs.Have work in a hospital nursing home and hospice care. I have also worked with elementary school. What I love about my job is the patients and family's and the care I am able to provide. I am a very cheerful and happy person I am told my laugh is contagious.

I am a natural caregiver as the parent of a profoundly disabled, non-ambulatory, non-verbal child. I have experience doing all types of related tasks such as positioning, bathing, transfers, therapy assistance, g-tube feedings, pulmonary therapies, and schedule management. And I do so with a good attitude and plenty of patience. I can relate to the challenges that come with aging, disability, neurological conditions, and metabolic illness. I have an extensive knowledge of the human body as a martial artist and massage therapist. I am excited by specialized diets such as very low carb/ketogenic and have been practicing medicalized and blended diets for over 7 years. I knew from a young age that I always wanted to help people so with that in mind after high School I pursued what I knew I would be good at helping senior citizens through the years I have learned a lot and also through experience with working with agencies where most of the time they just throw you in and expect you to learn everything which was fine with me 18 years of experience later and I've had no complaints.
