I spent 11 years in the military in which I was honorably discharged at the end of 2012. I completed and received an associate degree in art while serving. I continued my education while being unemployed from the time I was released from the military until April of 2013 and earned a bachelor degree in psychology. A week later I began practical nursing school and graduated top of my class a year later and was rewarded the leadership award. I passed my state board and earned my Practical Nursing license with an IV certification. I have since worked as an admission nurse, hospice nurse, agency nurse, floor nurse, managed a long term care facility, and was a day shift manager as well as a day shift unit supervisor. I recently completed my associate's degree in science in nursing and am waiting to sit for boards for my registered nursing license. I am looking to slowly transition from the facility setting into private duty helping people in their home setting.

I was a licensed CNA from 2004 to 2019. I became certified when I was just 17 years old and I have loved helping people my whole life. I have worked in skilled nursing facilities as well as in-home settings. Since 2008, I have cared for many local clients in their homes and helped them with everything from daily hygiene, shopping, appointments, cooking, cleaning, etc. I have experience with the young and the elderly. Helping people and making sure they are safe and have what they need is my passion.

I am a fun outgoing caregiver who strongly believes in aging with grace and dignity, and on your own term. Maintaining independence is key to this. Let me help keep you in your home. I have been a LPN for 6 years and was a CNA for 20 years prior to becoming a nurse. I have the experience necessary to care for your loved one.

I have taken care of many family members throughout my lifetime with situations including hospice and post-orthopedic surgery. I realized that the compassion and empathy I was able to give others was a gift, what better way to use it than to take care of those who cannot take care of themselves. I have won awards for customer service and for being an exceptional preceptor at the current healthcare facility I work at. At the end of the day, no matter how difficult it was I am happy because I was able to help someone.
