I have 20 years of experience in the medical/nursing field. I've worked in nursing homes, hospitals, and agencies and have found that in home care is the field best suited for me. I tend to be drawn toward Alzheimer/dementia patients as I'm learning my approach in care, they tend to respond to me best. I have worked with several families and helped to restore certain independence to patients with walking, dressing, feeding themselves. I ran a restorative therapy program for over two years in a nursing facility before deciding to take a home care position with an agency.

Hello my name is Michelle Dayton. I have worked in home healthcare for close to 25 years. I have been State certified as a CNA in both Michigan and Indiana. I am not currently certified but I am a registered HHA. I get tremendous enjoyment of taking care of others. My healthcare career started as a volunteer for hospice after I lost my grandparents. I've seen what amazing work they did and how at peace my grandparents were when they passed and I chose to pay it forward. I am a little more picky on the people I take care of then other Aides for two reasons: 1. If the client and I seem to clash it's no good for anyone. So I will not waste your time or my own. I will just respectfully decline the offer. 2. The clients I take on will not be just a clients. I love my people like they're my own family and I will do my absolute best to meet every need they have. If I cannot accomplish that I will find someone who can and put you in touch with them, because there's no sense in your family members being unhappy and uncomfortable in their own home. I feel that I am very caring and compassionate with each and every client that I've had. I believe everyone deserves respect, kindness and a voice( your opinion matters to me!) I will never force your family members to do something they don't want to do. I feel they have live through several wars, a great depression and a whole lot of hardship in the past and now is their time to be pampered. If your family member needs anything or you have questions about anything if I can't answer them I will find the answers and if I have the answers I will let you know.

I am a people person and I love helping others, I started off helping others when my children were very young, throughout the years I did several different other things but ultimately came back to my heart which was helping other people. I look forward every day to getting up and making someone else's day better, I am very proud of my past accomplishments but most of those are nothing compared to helping the people that I help each day that is my personal achievement to make someone happy every day.

I am compassionate and patient with my residents and all I care for. I grew up in nursing homes (my mother has always been director of nursing) so I am comfortable with elderly patients. I always have the best interest of those who I help in mind and I am very easy to communicate with. I am trustworthy and would never take advantage of anyone's illness.

I I've always been in a nursing home or home healthcare environment ever since I can remember. I love being able to help the elderly or disabled to be able to stay in their home and not have to go into a nursing home. I'm very caring and compassionate and I love to get to know my clients and their families. I have been doing home health care for 7 years now and I have loved every minute of it.

Since 2013 I have been taking care of the elderly the sick The Young and the babies I have been making myself known for my career I can take my job very seriously I take care of my patients even better help sometimes I take for my pet care of my patients do that take care of myself that's pretty funny anyways meaning of taking care of somebody else's love one and taking care of somebody else's life means everything to me and I would do anything to make anybody smile so it's the fact that I have to take care of your person that makes my whole day.

I became a caregiver when my grandfather passed away in 2018. When my grandfather got sick he asked me to assist him in getting a drink of water and I couldn't help him because I didn't know what I was doing. After his passing I just knew that being a caregiver is what I wanted too do. Maybe just maybe if I knew what I was doing when my grandfather was still alive I could of bought us some more time. I love what I do. Just being able too help someone to be and do the best they can is a great feeling. Being able too just put a smile on someone's face or be the listening ear they've needed for so long. I bring a positive attitude, hard work and determination to get my job done! I'm a caring, loving and energetic mother of four!
