I love to listen and engage in conversation, learning new things is my favorite thing to do! My mom always worked in healthcare, I knew I wanted to follow her foot steps. It's very rewarding to not only myself but those I care for! The bond with people you make, someone caring for you as you do them. A personal achievement I am proud of is just being in this line of work!

I am a gentle and quiet person, attentive listener, tender hearted, compassionate and deeply caring, professional woman. I assist and provide care for individuals who have been diagnosed with dementia, alhzlmers, bed bound, limited mobility, and disabilities of various kinds. Each and every person I provide care for, I actually care about them and their wellbeing. I have years of experience of attend to people's needs and providing care for them as a former chaplain intern and resident at the University of Kentucky, The United Methodist Children's Home and my local community. My role as a chaplain was mainly to offer emotional support and spiritual care for patients, families, doctors and nurses at a rapid pace. A desire in me began to grow where I wanted to have more time to get to know the clients more and spend more time with them. I enjoy the role of a care giver because I am able to take time to learn about people's needs and attend to them. My heart is filled with joy as a caregiver because I have the time and space to listen to each individual's story, learn about their physical and mental health and assist them with their needs. My vision for being a caregiver is to provide care for each person in such a way that they feel honoured, accepted, noticed, valuable and encouraged in their independence. I am most proud of myself for providing care for infants, the elderly, to those on the day they took their last breath, those without homes or with homes, citizens of the United States and internationals, people of differing faiths or no faith, those with minor health concerns to those in critical conditions, those who struggle with mental health diagnoses to those who do not and a variety of other categories within the past 5 years of my life. I don't take any of those opportunities lightly and am excited about the opportunity learn new care plans and provide care that meets each and every clients need(s).

I became a full time caregiver about 8 years ago, and did it part time for about 12 years prior. My nature is to nurture and I really enjoy and appreciate helping others. I have really good references, I am fortunate enough to stay with my clients long term, usually becoming more like family. Hello all, I became a caregiver 5 years ago when my grandparents were diagnosed with terminal cancer, back-to-back I quit my job, moved into their house and took care of them day in and out until they both eventually passed away at which time I realized I found my calling. I absolutely adore my career and I don't believe I could ever enjoy anything other than this! I have learned so much in these short 5 years of Care-giving, from being able to tell if a non-verbal person is in some sort of distress to how to help a friend cope with being diagnosed with a terminal illness and so much more in between. I've had the best years of my life helping people make the most out of the time they have left here, with us! I am a wonderful care-giver, who wakes up everyday eager to go to work to see the friends I have made and am always so excited to help people live happily and comfortably. I am so proud of the person I've become because every person I've ever taken care of has molded me into who I am today and they've impacted me in ways I could never describe, I'm a better person everyday because of my job. I recently moved to Georgetown, Ky after working in Cincinnati in a cardiovascular intensive care unit. I am looking for a position as a caregiver of either a senior or a family.
