I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health. My personality has always been a love to care for others. Started working in the hospital at age 18. Taught skin care then for 10 yrs. I decided to get a Health degree to teach others how to be healthy. Then I went back to school for nursing. Quality of life is my philosophy. I then went to nursing school after graduation with B S. I love to serve, care for, and help others. It is my nature. I cared for my Grandmother, my mother and my sister through strokes and respiratory illness. Working as a caregiver in the past for patients gives me a sense of fulfilment. I am proud to be able to do so.

To me a caregiver and a nurse are similar. Due to both roles providing companionate, reliable and effective care. I am a retired physical therapist assistant. My background is primarily in geriatric rehabilitation, wound care, stroke recovery, exercise programs, ambulatory activities, etc. I have recently been employed as a home health care aide. Duties include: light house keeping, meal preparation, exercise, and medication reminders. I also have been trained in both crisis intervention and grief counseling.

**UPDATE 10/2020 I am not taking any shifts for now as I have taken on full time homeschooling my two sons. I will update this profile once I am back in the field. Unfortunately at this point, my boys go everywhere with me therefore the only job types I accept are those in which I can bring them with me. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, I hope to return to the normal job hunt soon. Thank you! I'm a head strong mother of 3, entrepreneur, and wife! My passion comes with my personality of always being a "momma hen" which is what I love and why I'm great at...taking care of people. I strive for the best care of my patients and treat them as my own family because ultimately that's what they become, an extension of your heart and life. I have a very wide and extensive knowledge in all areas of care from nursing home long term care to hospital emergency room and pre/post surgical patients. I am very confident that I am a good fit for any patient and want to make sure that their family members feel that confidence in hiring me for their loved ones care. My availability as of right now is Monday- Friday 7am-5pm and this is subject to change and willing to negotiate other shifts when I have availability. I have worked graveyards before so I'm not opposed but being as though I have young children I prefer to stick to day shifts. I absolutely look forward to hearing from you!!!

My personality trait that makes mengreat at caregiving would be my love for it and the joy I get from helping others. My attraction to caregiving came through me realizing it was a gift that I had and its gave me tremendous joy. Being able to nurture others is tge most enjoyable part for me. My personal achievement I am most proud of is being a mother and the ability to guide then and build them up.

Well, I have always felt a special connection with people, and that is why I decided to pursue a career in nursing. I have always been amazed with the human body, and everything it entails. I love that my career demands me to be compassionate with people, and loving, which I feel is one key element to be a nurse. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that I can provide people with quality of time; sometimes people just need a hug, or someone to talk to, to make their day better. A personal achievement I am proud of is when I had to perform CPR on a resident, and fortunately, he recovered from the heart attack. I feel like nursing is what I always wanted to do, and I am glad I can say that I love what I do.
