I took care of my sick mother until she passed away. Later, a friend introduced me to the field of caregiving. Though I had formerly been a school teacher, caregiving fit like a glove. A client once asked me why I chose this profession, and I told her that I wanted to make a difference in people's lives. I offer personal care, housekeeping services, and companionship. When my client was dying, I held her hand the entire time, not knowing that the daughter had entered the room and observed my action. After her death I received a note from the daughter describing how she had been touched by my action. As a former teacher, I am punctual, compassionate, empathetic, and sentimental; I laugh and cry with my clients. My current job involves caring for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes. I have recently been providing a client with personal hygiene in the morning through CareLinx.

I became a caregiver because of my passion for the job as well as making a living. being a caregiver is a selfless act and it means giving your all to make your clients comfortable and happy. I'm a great caregiver because I love helping people and I like what I do, I like to help people especially the elderly people and anyone who can't do what they used to do for themselves. I took care of my aged father who suffered from stroke for ten years before he died. His high social demand at this time motivated me to be elderly supporter. I've lived with and cared for my grandmother for 4 years now. My experience with her has showed me that I am empathetic and patient with her care. I am very detail oriented as I manage her bills, medication, nutrition, appointment's, and general well-being. I enjoy seeing her quality of life flourish as the attention and care I provide brings her to life! My artistic nature also helps keep us active as I love organizing and providing creative activities for my grandmother to engage and challenge her mental and physical being!
