I have an experience working in Healthcare fields such as Nursing homes and Home health care. Helping others getting the care they need and seeing their satisfaction gives me a joy. I like spending time with my clients and be there for them throughout my care. I worked with different kinds of clients with different situations which helped me improve my skills. I love taking care of my residents and clients and I am always proud of it.

I became a certified nursing assistant in May of 2000. I have worked in many specialties in the healthcare field which consists of med-surg, telemetry,Icu,Brain and Injury, Rehab and Pacu. I also worked in Hospice, and home health for 15 years. I am currently working towards Nursing degree.

I took care of my sick mother until she passed away. Later, a friend introduced me to the field of caregiving. Though I had formerly been a school teacher, caregiving fit like a glove. A client once asked me why I chose this profession, and I told her that I wanted to make a difference in people's lives. I offer personal care, housekeeping services, and companionship. When my client was dying, I held her hand the entire time, not knowing that the daughter had entered the room and observed my action. After her death I received a note from the daughter describing how she had been touched by my action. As a former teacher, I am punctual, compassionate, empathetic, and sentimental; I laugh and cry with my clients. My current job involves caring for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes. I have recently been providing a client with personal hygiene in the morning through CareLinx.

I have enhanced my ability to providing compassionate and dedicated care to others and have worked diligently to provide excellence in all my professional endeavors and, have earned a reputation for my results driven work ethic; I have also received frequent commendations from patients and their families for providing exceptional care and have received employee awards for dedication and performance as a caregiver, because caring for others has always been my passion since childhood.

I've always been the compassionate person caring for other even when I was teenager. Come up watching my mother and grandmother as nurses and childcare provider it became natural to me. So when started high school I enroll in Nurseing program pass with excellent grades during I class hours we went to nursing home for hand on experience I then new this was what I liked doing. During summer break of school I work at local nursing home facility also had to attend monthly educational inservices were I learn the RESIDENTS RIGHTS,HIPPA, BIOHAZARD POLICY and INFECTION CONTROL .

I became a caregiver because I love to serve and help the needy. Before I started a job as a caregiver, I volunteered at the Pre-Ops of Sinai hospital in Baltimore forsix (6) hours, 3 days a week.I care about people, I am a very loving and caring person, full of empathy and I am learning so much in this chosen career from my clients. I am full of joy, I love to sing, read them poems and sometimes we dance together. I love to dress them up. We play cards sometime and some of them watch their favorite game show on T.V and cooking is also a delight to me. I am a great companion on my one -one cases because I love to be fulfilled at work too.

I have enjoyed being a SR Caregiver for 24 years. I love hearing the stories about their lives. It's heartwarming to know I get to share in the lives of the precious people that put their trust in me to care for them in their elder years. It's my joy to bring encouragement and assistance to my Sr's. I am a happy & upbeat gal with a lot of patience, compassion & empathy! Being a Caregiver is who I am. I Love Caregiving & find it very fulfilling to be with my Seniors!
