I would describe myself as a respectful, observant, reliable and patient person who provides first-class care. Over the years, I have worked in various roles where the need to work closely with other people, follow strict rules and procedures, and demonstrate understanding and empathy have been required.

I have been a CAREGiver for 17 years. I am an easy going, happy, hard working person who loves to make a difference in the lives of others. I enjoy being to make a difference in someone's life everytime I work. I am most proud of being a Father of 6 wonderful children and a Grandfather to my 2 beautiful Granddaughters!

I was a caregiver to a quadriplegic professor when I was in college to help pay for my tuition. After college, I continued doing private care on the side for some Alzheimer patients at a nursing home. In 2004, I enrolled at a nursing school for a year and a half. I did not finish my degree, but I did receive my certification as a CNA and as a Medication Technician. I keep up to date with the newest discoveries and findings in the world of medicine. Even though I have not had any new medical training, I am current on my knowledge of diseases, medications and side effects of such medications. For instance, I am aware that when you care for an Alzheimer's patient, you step into his/her world, and not insist that he/she conforms to your expectations of what is real. I am compassionate and capable. All of the kids are either all grown or almost grown, but I still have this vast need to nurture. My husband refuses to be smothered, so, I need to go out of the house and find someone else who would appreciate being cared for :-) My kids are my biggest accomplishment. The eldest is going to medical school this summer, and the middle one is attending UMKC in August. The youngest one is doing great as a Sophomore while giving out just enough sass to maintain her teenage status.

I am a very social young adult. I love taking care of people and helping those in need as much as possible.

Growing up I have always been very interested in helping people for their daily living. I am kind, gentle, and very compassionate person. What attracted me to being a caregiver was generally to help people and advocate for people. What enjoy most about being a caregiver is to be able help people in their sickness and you see how their health improves. One of my personal achievements is to be able to graduate from school, proud of that.

I am a very outgoing person and enjoy taking care of individuals who need it. I love helping with quality of life and individuality. I enjoy being a caregiver because I am very passionate about helping clients live there lives to their fullest ability. Being a caregiver makes me happy and content in my career choice, knowing that I'm able to assist someone who needs it. I have worked in healthcare for 4 years and am currently in nursing school to continue in the career I love the most.

I have been on the health field for five years now, I enjoy helping people mostly people who don't have the ability to do stuff for their self it's my passion in life I have make lot of different in people life I'm a people person I love people because where I grow up I live with different people from different countries and we all live together in a community in the same house too one of the things I enjoy doing this work almost every client I ever work for they always like me and the family I'm not perfect but I do the best on my job I love people and like to be around people that's my calling in life.

What drives me to be a care giver is not only because its a job its a okace were i feel like i belong taking care of others who needs some one who ubderstand their time of needs and when its apporerate. To me care giving is one of the best jobs i have done in my life. That being said im going to school to become a RN.

I am a true advocate for the patient I have work in O.R. For 33 years. Also have volunteered with KC hospice in the past, I now volunteered with Uplift and give my extra time and compassionate to feeding the KC homeless

I am a mother of four children and a Veteran of the US military. My Army experience as a field medic gave me knowledge of basic and Advanced patient care. I was stationed with a 200 bed EVAC hospital similar to MASH. I also worked as an Orthopedic assistant for several years and worked as a medical assistant and phlebotomist for a family practice for 3 years. I started in the home health field because my kids are about grown and as we all age I know the need is big to find above average care givers. I work because I want to and have the compassion for people and life.
