My name's Shameque. Most of my clients and families call me Meme. I am a PCA/HHA/Medtech/Companion/CNA. I have been in the healthcare industry for about 8 years now. I love it! The joy I receive from caring for and helping to improve the livelihood of others is unmatched. I have been a caregiver for 11 years. I love the work I do! I thoroughly enjoy getting to know my clients and learning how I can better assist them. I also take pride in being able to make their life easier while encouraging them to do what they still can for themselves. My favorite part is the relationship I have with my clients, getting to know them and learning about their life. I enjoy learning from them and hope they can learn something from me as well. My name is Vanessa Bland and I love being a caregiver. What attracts me to being a caregiver is that my whole family is in the health field and thats something that I also wanted to do. I became a caregiver after my grandfather had cancer and passed away. My Mom said that I was really good with taking care of people that were elderly. I feel as though I am wise for my age, and would rather be around the elderly and have a conversation than with those of my own age. I love giving back. I get far more out of it than they do. When I leave and go home, I feel like I did something special that day, I cared for another person. That means a lot to me.
