And a personal achievement for me was to get an elderly lady to be able to get In her bath tub without falling again after 5 years of having a shower chair and needing help to sit on it. I empathize with people, as well as just give them one extra person to love them just as family would. I was in nursing school when I decided to become a CNA. When I began my work as a CNA, I left nursing school behind for a moment to really enjoy being a care taker. I loved it that much. I am now currently back trying to become a nurse, one college credit at a time, while still enjoying being a CNA full time. Being able to wake up knowing I love my job is very important to me. Giving care and ensuring the safety and comfort of an individual is an extremely rewarding job. I have the patients and compassion to give these people that just need a little extra help.
