My personal traits of a caregiver is that I always have had a heart for those that can't do for themselves. It warms my heart to make someone feel like they still have life no matter what they can and can't do. And a personal achievement for me was to get a elderly lady to be able to get In her bath tub without falling again after 5 years of having a shower chair and needing help to sit on it. And beining able to dress herself again. That made had and myself so proud.

I'm a down to earth country girl that fell in love with the elderly community. I love to hear stories of things that they experience growing up. Taking care of the elderly is not just a job to me. It's a service from me to give back to them in a since... After all they deserve it. I've been in the healthcare field for a little over 13 years now and I have did both home health work as well as long term care but mainly long term care. Either setting works fine for me.

My heart warming, and personable personality helps me tremendously when it comes to being a great caregiver. I empathize with people, as well as just give them one extra person to love them just as family would. I was in nursing school when I decided to become a CNA. When I began my work as a CNA, I left nursing school behind for a moment to really enjoy being a care taker. I loved it that much. I am now currently back trying to become a nurse, one college credit at a time, while still enjoying being a CNA full time. Being able to wake up knowing I love my job is very important to me. Giving care and ensuring the safety and comfort of an individual is an extremely rewarding job. I have the patients and compassion to give these people that just need a little extra help. I will provide your loved one with the love and sympathy they deserve. I will ensure they get through their day completing their daily tasks safely and effectively.
