Hello & I hope you're doing well. My name is Mare & I was born and raised in Charlotte North Carolina. My interest in care giving began in 1982 when I gave birth to my daughter. Tiffany was born @ CMC w/ no right kidney & only a piece of a left kidney. That's when my caregiving actually began, however I had always wanted to be a nurse. Tiffany had several episodes of heart failure, as well as many seizures. I took the opportunity to learn as much as possible in order to help her in every way I could. Tiffany and I were referred to The Children's Hospital of Alabama where I was taught how to perform peritoneal dialysis. I treated her with paritoneal dialysis in my home for approximately one year. At that time, doctors decided she had to have a transplant. At 18 months, Tiffany was given one of my kidneys. She was put on a great deal of medications and there was a lot of care given to her over her lifespan of 28 years. After Tiffany's passing, I followed my interest in caregiving by working at a hospital as well as an assisted living company. I am a very friendly, patient & caring person who has been taught how to deescalate issues if they arise. I wanted to become a caregiver since I was a little girl and experienced my grandpa going through cancer and his caregivers were wonderful! I wanted to be able to provide that kind of care to others!

I am a passionate person who loves and enjoys helping others, especially elderly. I care greatly about helping them live independently in their homes while they are able to. I have started in the nursing career since I was 16 years. I worked in nursing homes, assisted living and private homes. I have been a part of end of life stages for those that have been diagnosed with cancer. i assisted the families as much as I could while caring for their loved one during the hardest times.

I am 30 years old, I have been working as a cna since 2011. I enjoy my line of work because I love working with elderly and I've worked long term care since I was certified. The residents become family I treat them just as I would want my loved ones treated. I find this job very important and it's very important to be on time and dependable so their isn't any mishaps with the care your loved one needs.
