I love taking care of people. I grew up taking care of my grandparents an loved doing this as a person I feel as if everybody should love an support to people that need help from caregivers. An I would love to care for anybody that needs my care an love an support I started doing caregiving work because I had grandparents that was in need an that was the highlight of my life. An then started caring for others I enjoy caring for others an helping them do stuff they love to most.

I have been a caregiver for 11 years. I love the work I do! I thoroughly enjoy getting to know my clients and learning how I can better assist them. I also take pride in being able to make their life easier while encouraging them to do what they still can for themselves. My favorite part is the relationship I have with my clients, getting to know them and learning about their life. I enjoy learning from them and hope they can learn something from me as well. I have a very caring, positive and patient personality. I am an advocate of the vulnerable population. I believe the number one trait for a great care giver is to truly care about the people we are taking care of. It is a good feeling at the end of a day knowing I made someone's day better.

I am a very caring and compassionate person. I am a mother of a very active 13 year old boy whom attends a Christian Academy and is very active in sports. I love the elderly, my grandmother raised me and then she got sick with cancer. That is what drove me to healthcare. I love hearing old stories from my elders and just feeling like I am making a difference in there day and giving them quality of life.

I have been working with special needs individuals, the elderly and vulnerable, and those with physical disabilities for over ten years. I enjoy my job and take pride in my work, and it is apparent in the quality of care I provide. I have an Associates Degree in Psychology, a Bachelors in Human Services, and am also a NC Board Certified Human Services Practitioner, with multiple certifications working with special populations. I treat all consumers equally, but I have a special bond with those who have advanced dementia, or who are more noticeably on the spectrum. I am very nurturing with my clients, but make sure not to "baby them "- quite the opposite. I strive to include them, uplift them, and empower them, because so many of these populations are treated like a burden so much that they begin to believe it. Even something so small, such as helping me fold socks, would seem trivial to someone else...but being able to do something on their own and be independent is priceless. When someone asks what makes me happy, the answer is, making those around me happy, and my clients have Always been happy with the care I provide them, and so is my mother company, Eldercare. And that is why I am EXCELLENT at what I do- I don't just come to work and wait for it to be over. I enjoy the time I have with my clients, and because I show it so transparently, they enjoy the time with me as well.
