I love being able to take care of others. It's always been a passion of mine! I love being able to make someone's day better by just the simple things we take for granted sometimes such as bathing or eating. I enjoy being able to get to know the people I take care of and building a rapport with them.

I'm compassionate and I put a lot of effort into my work which makes me a great care giver. I have loved giving a helping hand and seeing the smile on everyone's face that I help, that is what attracts me to being a caregiver! I enjoy making connections and getting to know my patients, that is what I love most about being a care giver! I am so proud that I have a huge heart for helping people when a lot of the world probably would turn their heads to someone in need, that is what I'm proud of!

My name is Christina, I got my CNA certification on February 21st of 2017. I am also a certified medication aide as of August 2019! Both of my certifications are viewable on the DHHS registry for confirmation. I am 20 years old and I graduated from Papillion Lavista north a year early as a junior in 2017. What called me to be a caregiver is my empathy for others and naturally calling to help other people. I enjoy working as a team with family's and employers to help bring the best service and companionship possible with my patients. I am responsible and able to manage multiple tasks at hand with time management, and always get my work done to the best of my ability. I have a flexible schedule and enjoy growing and meeting new family's and members of my community to care for. I grew up in the country, both my grandmother's worked in nursing as well as a couple of my aunts and my sister. I enjoy helping others that are unable to help themselves, the immediate gratification is unlike any other type. I like taking the time getting to know the individuals I work with. I've specifically worked in levels of hospice, home health care, with units dedicated to individuals with dementia and alzheimers, mental illnesses, and palliative disorders. I have a very personable personality. Something I'm proud of which isn't necessarily considered an achievement, is the fact I've never had a med-error in the four years of having my medication license.

Growing up, I spent a lot of time with my Grandparents. While helping them with with day to day chores, and activities of living. I also learned a lot from them as well. I enjoyed the quality time we had. Then later on once my Father passed away, I realized my passion, how much I truly enjoy helping others, and meeting the different families that God brings into my path. #Good 2B Home

I worked as a CNA for a few months an absolutely loved my job. I got to know each resident on a personal level and I miss it so I chose to give this a shot. Im glad this is flexible because I am finishing up my last semester of college and still need a job. I love caring for others, especially my grandmother which drew me to my career path. My grandmother has dementia and is slowly losing herself. I love to help her and care for her when she needs it. I plan to go to graduate school and become an Occupational therapist, also caring for older adults. I think it is important to help older adults be as active as they can.

I feel that I'm a great caregiver because I have been doing this kind of work for 25 years. I've worked mostly long term care and home health. I became a CNA when I was 16 because my father was a quadriplegic and always wanted to help others. I love taking care of the elderly and have always had a special place in my heart. I also received my medication aide licence. I like getting to know patients and families and love hearing their stories!
