Looking back at myself as a child, I was always drown to others who had no friends, or were look down upon, like our smart and intelligent neighbor with down syndrome, I found myself standing up for him, even to confront his father who was ashamed of him. And he started to pay attention to his son and later thanks me. Been in my later teen, I didn't realize why he thanked me for until later when I became a caregiver. I remember my mom and dad's words of wisdom. Your character is like your shadow, it never goes away, but you can do better with positive example. Physical and emotional pain leads to negativity, rejection and anger, a little bit of kindness and empathy revised the action to normalcy. no one is perfect, but don't give up on doing your best to being perfect. Remind yourself everyday that others are as special and unique like you, regardless of their condition and be kind. Then you'll feel the joy of gratitude .
