I have provided holistic wellness and hospice comfort for seniors in their homes since 2017. By holistic, I mean to include the care of the spirit, soul, and body. I like to motivate and help seniors to find joy in daily life. I guide the client to work through daily challenges and to have peace in their hearts! I love to cook and bake from scratch from different cultures. I also provide light cleaning, doctor's appointments, essential transport, etc. Each client has their healthcare needs and may have a specific health condition. This is very important and discussed thoroughly from the beginning, and I maintain a dynamic routine custom planned for each client, with primary consideration and communication with their medical provider. I include exercise and encourage a walk in the fresh air as possible. I love challenges and love to meet my clients' needs. My goal is to make seniors and their families happy. I have experience with Dementia, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's disease. Also, with Depression, loneliness, and grief. I helped veterans, and I am familiar with the needs of Kosher homes.

I am a very professional and dedicated caregiver. I have nearly five years experience of taking care of the elderly. Perhaps my background as a school teacher helps me a lot since I have lots of patience and care for my clients especially Alzheimer clients. I have been Working in healthcare for 7. I knew taking care of others was my calling when a close family member became ill with cancer and I took care of her up until she passed. Another reason I enjoy starting my homecare business is because I always wanted to be the one to take care of my grandmother. I believe everyone deserves a great caregiver. I understand it can be a hard process of allowing someone in your home and it may feel like you're losing your independence. Reality. The reality is, is that sometimes our most valued connections in life (family members or friends) aren't available at every waking second. We need to find other resources to help create new valued connections, like me! I have an extreme passion for being able to apply my skills and care into what I do day in and day out, and that serving people!! Nothing would make me happier than allowing me to join and assist all of your needs with you and your family. I have a very personal relationship with palliative care and/or hospice healing. I was my mother's main caretaker when she was diagnosed with Stage IV Metastatic Lung Cancer in early April 2017. I was her advocate. I lifted her up when she needed to be both physically and mentally. I listened to her, provided her professional medical care with anything that needed and/or required critical medical attention (which was often), but mostly I held her hand. Throughout the entire process the pain was hard, unbearable even, but I wouldn't give up. I know what it's like to be on both sides... The family member and the caretaker. But what I can empathize more with is being the actual patient. The relation to both parties is significant for me. I am feeling more than compelled to help out that special family that needs it. Hello! My name is Krystal and I have been working with clients of all age groups who are varied on the level of assistance needed. I have years of experience working with those who experience both mental and physical disabilities in some form. I believe I was born into the caregiving role, not just as a mother myself, but as a natural instinct from my childhood. Caregiving found me in middle school when my mother was diagnosed with bipolar, along with some other mental health issues, and became disabled. As a single child in a single parent home I began to take the reins of household responsibilities gradually starting in middle school and fully running my mothers home by high school age. As her mental health declined she experienced physical health issues resulting in surgical assistance on several occasions. At the age of 18, while still being an in home care giver to my mother, I became my 16 year old cousins custodian. He has Asperger's and Tourette's along with other mental health issues. He was in need of specialized schooling but mostly could manage himself. These experiences are what sparked my passion for getting into the caregiving field. Until my mother and my cousin, I had no experience or knowledge of caregiving or even that there was a need for people like me. As I dug deeper I realized many people don't get the scope or kind of care they truly need. In a way, I feel my background makes me the best caregiver since I truly treat all my clients as family. It is important to work with respect and conduct oneself in a way that trust can bloom. Caregivers are strangers in a clients home so it is important to have manners, be respectful, and to have a bit of tough skin since some clients can change in mood. Having the ability to adapt with changes in mood, environment, temperament, etc. is important because we cannot let these things change how we treat and care for our clients.

I chose this career because I like to help other people, and one way to do it is to work in the medical field. A fact that motivated me to do so is that when I was five years old, my grandmother was sick and I was able to observe how other people did not take care of her properly.
