During my college career, I decided to become a Home Care worker because I knew that would be one way to reach out to the older adults in our communities. I realized how appreciated I was for my hard work and integrity, therefore I continued to be a caregiver. I also realized when I helped care for my grandmother who died of cancer while I was in college, that I have a very nurturing side. I am an aesthetician by trade and have had many elderly clients who would simply enjoy the conversation as well as the physical contact during the session. I love being someone who could brighten their day. I am a certified Patient Care Technician. I do have my own transportation (my car is insured) so running errands and shopping isn't an issue. I am also fully vaccinated fully vaccinated and have received my COVID boosters. I have experience with medication prompting and patient bathing/grooming. I also have experience with clients with memory loss/Alzheimer's. I am certified in Adult & Pediatric CPR, First Aid & AED. I do not have an issue with meal prepping .
