In 2007 while still working in the title industry I also started volunteering for Hospice, which I enjoyed very much and still do. I volunteered for Hospice of NM while under different management but took many hours of training which resulted in many patients in companionship. Some of my folks did come off of Hospice but many did not. I was voted by management and personnel as the number 1 volunteer for the organization. After a few years I had to take a break do to my other work schedule then decided to go into caregiving. I am not certified. Only experienced. The need for the elderly or homebound is abundant, now more than ever. I see to many elderly alone and afraid. They need help.

It's always been very important to me to care for all people no matter who they are. Throughout my life I have developed the patience especially when seeking care for a loved ones with Alzheimer's or another type of dementia. Working for facilities and hospitals has given me the right tools/ training to help with other conditions that the elderly face throughout their years. I really enjoy being a companion as well and feel that this is my lifes purpose!
