Care, compassion, exceptional verbal and nonverbal communication, and above average critical thinking abilities are just some of the skills I possess. In a home care setting, I most enjoy the ability to provide the 1:1, quality care I would want for my own family and friends. In a facility or at home, I love utilizing my ability to discern a patient's needs, often off the beaten path. My greatest personal achievement was raising my two developmentally disabled children to become independent, upstanding citizens.

Hello, my name is caryssa ! I've been a CNA for 7 years and trained for my entire senior year of high school. I worked a little in a hospital so I have some insight on taking care of people in that kind of setting I'm very familiar with residents who are full term in a nursing home, who have dementia, and also residents on a rehab unit recovering from falls at home causing them to break their hips, neck, back and more and trying to my best ability to make them comfortable. I've taken care of people who are actively dying and have terminal illnesses I guess it's safe to say it's what I know best is to take care of people. What I love the most about taking care of people is getting close to them like they're my own family I love my residents a lot. What drew me to being a care giver was the fact that I could help someone or even make their day better just by making them feel safe and well taken care of and in all my years as a care giver I've grown very attached to my residents I love them a lot

Im 49yra old and a mother of 3 grown daughters..I have two beautiful grand babies Well not babies they are 4 and 5 but babies to me.I am a certified CNA and I started at age 19..but took care of my grandparents and that's where I started my journey..I have started classes for cultivation tech and still do Cna or HHA work for I still love the work but just needed a change.

I enjoy watching them grow and helping them in the areas in which they may struggle. I enjoy joy helping others and have a big heart. I have always been one to help those who need it. I am currently going to school to become an RN and eventually want to work with children with cancer at St. Judes.

I believe a caregiver should be someone that the patient can trust undoubtedly, and be able to bond with. After all we spend so much time with someone in their home everyone needs to be comfortable. I don't just see caring for people as a service but an honor. To be able to get to know someone's life, likes, dislikes and story all make this type of work extremely rewarding. **Will be available full time any hours after May first. Until then times will need to be set up in advance. My other job is 2-10 pm.
