I am a hardworking, loyal , trustworthy , passionate and caring person of integrity. I am very passionate about helping people from all walks if life. I have many years of caregiver experience working with the elderly population and individuals with developmental disabilities. I enjoy the social aspect of being a caregiver as well as assisting with doing ADLS and other tasks to ensure recipients have a better quality of life. A personal achievement I am proud of is my years of work experience in human services and the medical field along with the opportunity of going to college and graduating.

Years ago when I first entered the work force I was lucky enough to get a position as wait staff in a Memory Care facility. It was then that I first discovered my passion of caring for the elderly, specifically those with memory and physical impairments as a result of Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia. I have spent most of my working years in this line of healthcare, serving individuals either in their personal home or in a nursing home setting. I have gained so much experience and education in memory care and pride myself on my ability to give my all to each patient. I have enjoyed taking care of others immensely and have found that it's what makes me the happiest. A person's later years can be confusing, scary, emotional and overwhelming but I have learned the tools to make each day meaningful and the very best it can be. I am often amazed at how lucky I feel to be caring for such amazing people, as every one I have ever cared for has had a wonderful life story. I am serving a person and enriching their life, not simply working a job and collecting a paycheck. I am currently attending classes at Cayuga Community College in pursuit of an RN degree and therefore am only available for part-time hours. I look forward to meeting a family who's needs match what I can offer and getting to work serving you and your loved one!

I have been a certified HHA for 5 years, Also Certified Medical Assistant. Currently working as private duty HHA and have so since March 2017. I am empathic, kind, loving caregiver. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is listening to their stories, putting a smile on their face, lending an ear a hand or mostly a hug. My personal acheivement was passing a the Certified Medical Assistant exam after being in class full of 20 yr olds! LOL

I am a 50yr young lady...lol. With a great sense of humor. I have over 20+yrs experience in the health care field and I have enjoyed just about every minute of it. Between my husband and myself we have 5 great kids and 15 wonderful grandchildren. I enjoy spending my time loving and taking care of other's. It gives me great pride and comfort to know that when I go to sleep that I have given love, care, compassion, and joy to everyone around me. Weather it family, friends or a complete stranger. I take pride in the things I do and the people care for, and at the end of the day if I made someone else day brighter, easier, or put a smile on someone's face then I feel proud and completely satisfied. I am a caregiver because I took care of family members who were passing away and it gave me reward to know I am making the short time they have a good one.
