I was an Home Health Aide for five years and during that time I realize I wanted to help even more peoples and touch even more life's so I went back to school and became an Certified Nursing Assisted. I love the one on one time I get with each of my residents and my clients . I believe that this is what God wanted me to be doing with my life

I became a nurse aide because I always wanted to take care of the elderly. I love having conversations and being with them. I treat my patients as if they were my parents. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is being able to spend time with the patients and hearing their stories, which always puts a smile on both of our faces, for them to know that someone cares for them.

As a home care worker I get the advantage to learn so much from older adults as I listen to their stories. I am deeply passionate about helping older adults and it is something I love to do. My passion prevails itself as I support and comfort my clients. For an example, what ever goals my clients wishes to achieve by the end of the day or week those goals will be met. These goals are of course related to activities of daily living skills, running errands, or engaging in the community, such as attending social day programs. I also encourage my clients to express their independence, thoughts, and feelings. I am someone any family member can rely on to take care of their parents, grandparents, aunts, or uncles.

I am very responsible for the care and well- being of others. I am very trustworthy. Dependable, and patient I have a sense of empathy for my clients I am able to separate myself from potential anger and resentment and not take the situation personally, all while still providing high quality care services. I recognice capabilities and encourage self- sufficiency while still providing necessary level of care and attention. I have known since I was a child that I wanted to work in a job where I could truly help others and this is why i am very grateful and have so much things to be proud of because I've helped people and always make them smile.
