Hello! I am a 22 almost 23 year old single mom. I have a lot of experience starting as a candy striper at 15, being a dietary aid while getting my stna, working in a nursing home, doing home health, and also working in waver homes. My experience ranges from just companionship to full on assistance. I have experience with colostomy bags, hoyer lifts, catheter bags, different forms of dementia. I also have experience cooking and preparing meals for regular diets, mechanical softs, purees, and thickeners.

I been a Private caregiver for 22 years. I have 22 years experience with Dementia, bedridden, hospice and so much more. It's always been a passion of mine to care for others, I would like to offer help to those who want to remain in their home and maintain the lifestyle they worked so many years to achieve.

What inspired me to be a caregiver was my great-grandmother. She lived with my grandmother who was her caregiver. It inspired me to want to help other people, who may not have family members/friends who are able to provide them with care 24/7. Being a caregiver makes me smile because I know I am helping other people. I will be attending college online, starting in August to earn my BSW (Social Work). I earned my STNA while I was in High School. I attended school in the day time and at night I went to STNA school.

I am very energetic, I love people, caring for patients, knowing that my patient are well taken care of and are happy makes me very happy, I love seeing the smile on my patients face

What makes me a great caregiver is that I go far beyond to provide my clients with the best quality of care. As a caregiver, my resident needs come first, and I make sure their health care needs are met. I first became interested in elderly care at the age of 11, I was a volunteer at a residential care facility where my Aunt worked. Later, at the age of 15, I became a dietary aide at another local residential care facility. Then, at the age of 18, I received my certificate as a State Tested Nurses Aide (STNA) and been working in the field for over 10+ years. I guess you can say I always had a passion for working with senior citizens and the elderly. I guess being raised by my great-grandmother taught me how to have compassion and patience for older people. What I enjoy most when it comes to being a caregiver is seeing my clients happy and relieved knowing their loved ones are being provided the best quality of care possible and seeing their healthcare needs taken care of. My greatest personal achievement is my children and obtaining my bachelor's degree in health care.

I have been a caregiver for 14 years now. I love taking care of and helping others. I am a fun outgoing person, love to make others laugh. I have lots of experience with all types of illnesses and different ranges of level of care needed. I have worked in hospitals, Nursing homes, home health, done hospice care, also a alzheimer unit. I know how to take care of ostomy bags, plus much more. I believe everyone needs to be taken care of in a caring manor

I have worked with seniors on and off for several years. I was a volunteer for a few nursing homes and finally decided to become a Certified Nurse Assistant. I have worked in nursing homes and for home health. I have always loved to care for the elderly since a young age. They are not just 'people' to me, they are my grandfathers and grandmothers. I respect Seniors and know they need lots of love and care. We will all have to go through this stage in life that can be very difficult. How wonderful it would be if we all had compassionate, caring caregivers during this time!
