I care about helping elderly people and children that have a disability. When you love taking care of people and it's a blessing to want to do it, because some elderly people don't have family and you willing to step in and help.. God will bless you. You have to treat people the way you want to be treat.. One day we going to get old and we need the help. My achievement is that I help them to do whatever needs to be done, while they in my present of care.

I have been working with Geriatric patients since 2008, after graduating high school. Going into healthcare knowing nothing about it, I began my career working in a Alzheimer's / Dementia unit. Since then I have also worked with post acute patients, those who require care after their hospital stay and are not able to return home right away. Hi I'm DeAnna Bolin , I've work in a senior living and alzheimer unit for Just over 2 years as a Lead Caregiver/Med Aide Tech. I love working with any and all types of people. I decided to become a caregiver after having a severe illness putting me in ICU for 8 days causing me to have to have help with basic daily activities like showering, toilet, walking ,etc. I personally enjoy getting to know the patients (residents) such as their life stories , medical history , likes and dislikes personal interest. My personal achievement that I'm proudest is living past my congestive heart failure and build my family.

I recently was faced with my sister being terminally ill , I was worried that she would not get the proper care? at this time when families are going through something so devastating they need not worry about proper care for their love ones . I have been passionate about healthcare since I started as a Patient Care Assistant in 11th grade, way back in 1997. I worked in a busy post-surgical ward in a hospital setting for 17 years and have since found home healthcare incredibly rewarding. I have ample experience in assisting with post-orthopedic surgical patients, ambulation, dressing, bathing, toileting, catheter care, ostomy care, checking blood glucose levels, and vital signs. I spent over a year assisting a hemiplegic stroke patient I thoroughly enjoy helping others live how they wish to live. I been a CNA for 5 years I have worked in a bunch skilled and none skilled nursing homes. Well I love to help people and my grandma was in and out of nursing homes. So I got to go and I wanted to make a difference in there life's. I enjoy putting a smile on there face just because they in a nursing home don't mean they can't live a little and have fun .
