I love taking care of people. I was born in American Samoa, learned how to cook at an early age. Love cooking, cleaning, organizing and being around people. I have been in the medical field for 15 years. I consider myself a very patient, compassionate, and caring person. I have learn a lot from my clients' life experiences, which I cherish dearly. I like to cook, bake, like to read to my clients, and love to involve them to stay active. I can provide references of happy previous clients.

In addition to the regular requirements of of a caregiver, I'm very hard working, I'm cheerful, compassionate and have extremely good creative skills in the arts and I would include cooking as an art. I like to go the extra mile and do little things that sometimes can make all the difference. For instance, putting towels in the dryer so they're nice and warm after a shower, or making sure that meals are served garnished and attractive. It's rewarding to help someone and cheer them up, see them smile ! I enjoy the variety and working with people one on one, and I enjoy working in their homes. I think the overall achievement of working with many people since 2012 is what I'm proud of. I do enjoy making them smile and laugh and taking them out of their troubles at least for a little while, while performing tasks in their home that need to be done. I do not do transfers .This means the person must be totally ambulatory. I cannot help them get up from a chair or get out of bed, nor can I reposition someone in bed. But, I do everything else. Available full time. except Friday afternoon. I can also do weekend, 24/7 shifts or long weeks 24/7.

I am an energetic, kind, and compassionate person who has dedicated the last 12 years to helping seniors age in place. Although my bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona is in Nursing/Biology, I pursued other career opportunities for much of my professional life. I returned to hands-on care 12 years ago because of the deep satisfaction I feel when I help a family honor their loved one's decision to remain at home, living as independently as possible. I am highly organized and I excel at coordinating all aspects of care, which enables family members to attend to their careers and commitments. I have experience as a Care Manager, hiring, training, and managing a caregiving team for a family that needed 24 hour care for their father. Since I was a very young girl when asked what I want to do I've always been able to respond in the same way: I want to help people. I've always been driven to grow and improve. This desire also extends out to the people around me. As a caregiver, I go out of my way to ensure my client's needs are met before that of my own. I try to get to know each person as what they really are: an incredible human being, with a LOT to offer. I always try to learn something from my incounters, no matter how brief the engagement. I love taking care of people and helping families with their day to day needs with their loved ones. I have over 20 years of experience working in the medical field with both seniors and developmentally challenged individuals in their homes and in care home settings. I have over 5 years of hospice experience and handle each individual with the same love and compassion as I would for one of my family members. Caring for others enriches my life and the ones I'm caring for. I love helping people, I'm a very laid back chill person to be around. I feel that adds comfortablility and calmness. I choose caregiving to be able to help people and not be taken advantage of but rather have people be thankful and grateful for the help I have to offer. I enjoy being able to give the care people deserve and knowing the job is done right and people are not being mistreated. I'm proud to have been able to work with kids, young adults, adults all the way to hospice care. Its a blessing to be able to care for people and build companionship and trust.
