I have been a CNA since 2018. I have experienced alot of trials and tribulations in this job, but its something that I love. Taking care of the elderly is the field I am ment to be in, thats why I have decided to further my education in Nursing. I am a young mother of three, and my kids are my world. With all that, I always make time for my family.

I chose this career because I like to help other people, and one way to do it is to work in the medical field. A fact that motivated me to do so is that when I was five years old, my grandmother was sick and I was able to observe how other people did not take care of her properly.

I find that I have alwaya been a natural caregiver. I am caring, compassionate, empathetic, understanding , and respectful lf others feelings.

I feel that I am a great caregiver because I am very compassionate about what I do. I love to help people in any way that I can. I feel caregiving is a very fulfilling career, because you actually get to see the progress you are making with your consumers. I become very close with my clients quickly. All of my clients enjoy having me work with them, they like my personality and the fact that I do not waste my time when I'm with them. I have been doing this for 25 plus years, so I must enjoy it. I have never had a complaint from any client in my performance or attitude, in fact I've had just the opposite. I just lost a client to Covid 19 in May that I had worked for privately for almost 4 years, that is how I came to work for the 3 agencies that I work for now. One of my greatest achievements is helping a consumer walk again after working very hard doing his exercises to get him stronger and getting him back in his feet.

Oncology hematology/pathology clinics, allergy clinics and in private homes. I am CPR and First Aid certified I am also a certified phlebotomists, and a CNA . Ive been through extensive training, and I continue to take ongoing training courses. I'm experienced with specialty care, examples of care include; care using the Geri chair, hoyer lift, Sit to stand / stand assist lift , Stair chair lifts, Tube feeds, Foley catheters, colostomy bag, nebulizers, Tracheostomy, sleep apnea, Alzheimer's care, Dementia care, Palliative care, Hospice care, ALS care and assistance , Post Surgical discharge assistance, Wound care, Respiratory care, Cardiology, Oncology, Rheumatoid Arthritis, gastrointestinal disease , COPD, Asthma, Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Lupus, AIDES, Liver, Kidney, Skin, Hearing Loss, Blind, Osteoporosis , Neuropathy, Anemic, Diabetic, Multiple Sclerosis, and Parkinson's Disease. I have a passion for caring. I am very educated and experienced but always ready and wanting to learn new things. I treat everyone with respect and dignity. I have been a CNA since 2010. I work every weekend 7am to 11om Saturdays& Sundays. I love helping people. I enjoy talking to the elderly about what their life was like & what they enjoy. I always find I learn something new from their life experiences.
