Working as a Dental Assistant for 15 years and becoming a Volunteer Fire woman.I had the privilege of taking care of my late Uncle and my late Mother-in-law. My uncle had no mobility and depended on round the clock care.But I was always able to make him belly laugh everyday. My mother-in-law, had three open heart surgeries and additional medical needs. I always made the time to care for her throughout the entire day. I enjoy being a companion and support system. My grandmother always told me that taking care of someone is a privilege not a job. I enjoy getting to know people of all walks through life and I have taken many courses to keep my self educated in patient care.I look forward to getting the opportunity to know you.

I enjoy providing caring services for others. I enjoy spending time with people, providing activities and companionship, including listening to their stories/experiences/history. Becoming a caregiver was started with the need for my father to receive 24/7 care and I became his guardian, proving his health, nutritional, hygiene, daily activities, and financial needs until he passed 4 years later from CAD and end stage Alzheimer's/Dementia. From that, I began caring for a 99 year old female with Alzheimer's, again providing all of her personal needs, except financial, until she passed at 103 yrs of age. I have provided personal duty care since 2011 and have found a calling for me in this field,

Caretaking always came natural to me. I pride myself on compassion and understanding. 10 years ago I began my career in mental health, then gradually ended up in home health- which I love! I love helping and watching my patients meet their personal goals, becoming part of their families, and building beautiful working relationships. Over the years, I'd like to say I've mastered the art of patience, as home health can be very trying at times. I always do, and will continue to, work hard to help in maintaining their independence.

I have been a caregiver for over 30 years. I ran and operated a state licensed daycare for 17 years. Upon closing my business I went to school for my CNA. I really enjoy my profession because I like helping people. My experience is vast from in home care to facilities to hospice care. References can be supplied for I have been with some families for years. Enjoying taking people out and about to appointments or for a lunch or for a ride can be quite nice for the patient. Having a lot of compassion and empathy for this job and for the people I help.

A great caregiver in my eyes is someone who doesn't see a client, they see a family member. I treat each client as if they are my grandmother, brother, sister or aunt. I don't see race or disability. I see a human in need of my knowledge and care. I have worked in healthcare since I was 20 years old. I've grown up learning and appreciating the miracle of excellent care. Sometimes a kind smile or a listening ear is all it takes to make someone's day. I am very organized and take pride in keeping a tight schedule for medication administration, appointments or personal care. I also enjoy being active and connecting with my clients by incorporating physical exercise, music or art.

I have a lot of compassion for our Older adults.love listening to their stories! They are very wise people that we can learn from! I find it very sad that they have to leave their home and go to a Facility where they don't have one on one attention! They do much better in their homes because it's what they really want! I prefer taking Care of one person who I can give a lot of attention to Rather than 20 in a facility.
