I have always had great compassion for those who are sick, the elderly, and disabled. I began my caregiving by volunteering for Hospice for seven years. CNAs happily taught me how to do bed baths, empty urinals, and even how to change bed linens with patient still in bed. I am comfortable, and have experience in just about all facets of caregiving, which includes personal hygiene, including bathing, feeding, safely transferring patient from bed to chair, etc. I am comfortable using a Hoyer lift, and have changed and sanitized urine bags. Upon moving to a new city I began doing home caregiving as a way of paying my bills, and family recommendations kept me busy. I have enjoyed caring for the ELDERY with all kinds of medical problems, and DISABLED people, as well. In addition to passing the background check required for this site, I have a LEVEL II BACKGROUND CHECK which is far deeper than this site requires. I have taken and passed the HHA test, although I did not take the class. I am CPR certified, have had a two step TB test, I presently work for a local caregiving agency, but they are unable to provide me with enough hours, so I am eager to get full time hours! I have many references I can give if you are interested in knowing more. I prefer days, but I am open for any schedule.

I have been taking care of people since 1971 when I took care of my grandmother in a nursing home. I love being able to help people who can no longer care for themselves & helping seniors so they can stay in their homes is very important to me. I've been taking care of people for 46 years & I've learned alot thru the years & still learning how to help people enjoy their life. I am a retired CNA. I would like to add that my fingerprints are on file with Spartanburg county police, this was done when I worked for DSS daycare.

I believe you need to have a passion for caregiving to be a good caregiver, which I developed as a young child. My mother has been a caregiver since I've been a little girl and I would go with her at times to do Meals on Wheels on days off from school. I would also want to tag along when she would volunteer at the local nursing homes. I would see the excitement on their face and feel the reward of being there with her. From those moments I knew I wanted to follow her foot steps. You can not treat caring for someone as " a job." You must treat the individual as you would your own family member by being patient, kind, understanding, sympathetic and loyal. I have the experience and know what to do in many situations. I have a letter of recommendation from a past client's family member and many references.

My name is Jaylen, I've been a caregiver for more than 10 years and counting! And I absolutely love what I do, becoming a client of mine is more like establishing a lifelong relationship that will be cherished forever. My clients become my extended family, and that's the way it should be. I first started caregiving for my grandfather who needed care after having a few strokes. He needed assistance with bathing, meal prep, and exercising so that he could regain his strength and ride his bicycle again! It was a joy to see how much light i brought into his world. I've had the opportunity to work with some amazing people, such as school district executives, famous gospel singers, and my first ever... client that was 101 years old (and they said he'd never walk again) but with me I had him moving around, walking along the lake and we even went to the zoo. A past-time favorite adventure he used to do with his family every summer. I thrive off great conversation, good people, and I love bringing joy to others with my bright smile and big personality. Whether it's grocery shopping, errand running, having easy conversation or getting icecream on a sunny day, I make sure that my clients are not only having fun, but is treated the way I'd want someone caring for my family! With love, compassion, respect, and a cheerful heart!
