I am 54 years old. God gave me a gift to help elders, and I love that gift! I have been doing this all my life. I can't express enough how it makes me feel to go home knowing I made them smile, or laugh for that day. I think exercise is very important if they are capable, and Companionship, Honesty, and just having a heart that cares for people. I go above and beyond for my elders, and I will treat them as they were my very own.

Iam a people person who enjoys getting to know others and serving them. I've been doing this for 22 yrs and I believe this is my calling.

Hello! I have over 25 years of experience in the medical field, and it runs in my family. I worked at Guardian homehealth Care for 8 years as a CNA. I met alot of wonderful people, and learned alot! I then went on to being a professional Caregiver to help families in need for themselves, or their loved ones to remain at home. I have been doing this for many years and absolutely love it! I treat the families as if they were my very own. I find this rewarding and it gives me joy to keep them active in every day living. I consider myself honest, reliable, and observant of the over all health. I have excellent references with local families I have helped in the past. I will help with whatever needs done, and I go above and beyond my duties as a caregiver. You will not be disappointed in my work, and I have recently updated my back ground check. I worked with the Visiting Angels Caregiver & Home health group out of Knoxville, Tn for about 2 years as a caregiver. I also helped to care for my mother, father, a sister, a brother, an aunt, an uncle, my husband, and my son. I am retired, but I still enjoy working part time as a caregiver. I can help care for your loved ones, when you need to be engaged elsewhere. Or when you just need an occasional break.... And we all need that occasional break sometimes.

I love to help and that's why I am so great at caregiving for others. A good caregiver comes with heart for free. I love to help families and or independent people be comfortable, safe and happy at home. Unfortunately I am not rich so I need to earn a wade but my heart is 100 percent free. I love entering a home helping and moving on to the next. I just love all of the tricks inside secrets of families, maybe its a magical recipe or neat way to clean with vinegar. Maybe even just going to play bingo somewhere and or hanging out at home. I am personally proud of all of my education and being able to share it with the people who hire me. I have 3 years cna experience. I have reliable transportation. Also 12 years of caregiving experience. I am dependable as well as honest.

My current job does not say much about who I am as a person or a caregiver. Before starting in factory work I worked in a nursing home for 4 years. After the nursing home I worked in assisted living for a year. I gave my heart to those jobs. I loved ever minute of being with the elderly. I started by waking them up and taking them to the toilet. Then I would help them get dressed or dress the ones who were unable. I would then assist with normal morning hygiene care. I would take them to dine with others in the dinning hall and then I would feed the ones who could not go. I would do daily excersizes with the residents and give baths when it came time. After breakfast some would take naps, watch tv or do other things. After my rounds of helping to use the bathroom I would visit with some that I didn't get to spend so much time with because of our morning rush to eat. So many of those people whom I took care of couldn't remember some of their own family, but they knew when they seen me coming everyday and they were so happy at times. At the end of the day helping others comes naturally. My gratitude I get from being a caregiver is just making someone smile. If I can make them smile then I must be doing something well.

I have held many positions in the health field. My reasons for remaining in health care are many but the most prominent is the self gratification of helping others.

I've been in the health care field since age 16. I have experience working in nursing homes, hospitals, the hospice field and I have taken care of some family members through the end of this life. I find it to be a privilege to show compassion to those who need health care in every area.
