My experience has been primarily with seniors living in assisted living facilities and their private homes. Through various home health agencies I ve also learned many restorative exercises and how to use medical equipment. I enjoy what I do because I able to help a family in need by keeping their loved one in home.

I cared for my mother and aunt while their end stage life with lung cancer and aunt with breast cancer and schizophrenia. I have 2 autistic sons and have cared for them and received care while in their youth. I have experience in caring for the elderly, hospice patients, dementia. I enjoy caring for patients, and making their day better as their days are limited. When hearing their stories of their growing up or experiencing one appreciates their life experiences and history.

Being a caregiver truly isn't for everyone, as for me I have to say I love what I do! I am very compassionate and caregiving has truly been a job that allows me to just simply be ME. For a few years now, I've immersed myself in the seniors care field and have devoted my work to assist the families of: a WWII 94yr old veteran with dementia and blindness, a 63 yr old retired DEA agent with Parkinson's symptoms, a charming southern lady with fall risks, an army veteran with Alzheimer's, and a former Texas cowboy with post-traumatic brain injury. I'm well versed in providing many services required in at-home caregiving. I have helped with everything from mobility, light housekeeping/meal prep, meds mngmnt, and bathing to companionship, bathing, wound care, and physical/occupational/speech therapy exercises. Hello my name is Jacqueline but I go by Jackie. I am 31 years old and I have been in the home health care field for about 11 years. I am a very empathetic person and make a good companion because not only have I been in this field for so long but I have also taken care of my own family members who were also special needs and have had different kinds of diagnoses. I love being a care giver so much that when I finished school for dental assisting I found a job that still encompasses that type of field because we go into nursing and assisted living facilities to provide the dental care they need. Because of my job I am fully Covid vaccinated and I am tested weekly sometimes twice a week. I am proud that I have been able to show people in need of caregivers that there are people who actually see caregiving as more than just a job. Most of my clients have passed away (adults and children) but I do have their family members info as well as the agencies I have worked for if you need any references. My rate is very negotiable because I have been on that side of looking for caregivers for my own family members and I am still working as a dental assistant so NIGHT or OVERNIGHT hours preferred . I have recently started school so I am just looking for a little extra money to help pay for school.
