I was raised up caring for people beginning in my own family. At the nudging of my mother, I became an LVN in 1985. After the passing of my father, I neglected to keep my LVN license current but remained in the field of caring. I enjoy helping others accomplish their day as well as family members observing positive change in a homebound loved one. I have a long history in caring which include but not limited to, psych care, dementia, hearing and vision impairment, physical disabilities and so on. I take my work seriously and respect individuals for who they are as well as what they may be going through.

My personal experience with caregiving began with my mom, who I took care of until she passed. I realized that this job was a good fit for me because of that. I am a people person, and getting to help someone that needs it makes me feel great! I love to smile and try to make at least one person smile daily. I am a fast learner, and love a challenge.

I am a very compassionate person who loves what I do. I've been certified since 2011. After losing My Son to an unfortunate accident, it made my drive for caring, helping and loving others stronger. What makes me stand out as a caregiver is that I pay attention to small details and love to go above and beyond for my patients! I am very dependable, patient, and empathetic. I have always wanted to work in the medical field and believe that seniors deserve the upmost respect and confidentiality while going through any sort of health issues. I'm very compassionate when helping my patients. I always had the passion to help the elderly and special needs. What I enjoy the most about being a CNA / Caregiver is being able to come to work with a positive attitude and smile on my face and loving what I was called to do. Hello my name is Kathy I am a retired personal caregiver and Med. Tech from the Houston Metropolitan area. Where I have worked for over 35 years. Mostly in geriatric. I'm a People Person, and receive joy from helping others. I have been blessed to be with one family off and on for 34 years. I started out with the family as a sitter for mom and dad, after that they offered to pay for my training as a dialysis tech so I went on to dialyze the father on peritoneal dialysis. I have been fortunate to receive other clients by "Word of Mouth". I thank God for patience.

The reason why I chose this path is because I have always been in Health Care field starting with geriatrics and psychiatric. I care about helping people and making an impact and this field allows you to do just that. I discovered at a young age that I always wanted to help anyone that I saw and asked for my assistance and I have always been a compassionate person.

I am a 52 year old woman, married 34 years. A non smoker, lover of animals, living many places both here and abroad through my experience with the Army. My husband is a 26 year Army Retired Veteran. I am able to perform basic daily household tasks, including: cooking, cleaning, organizing medical and beauty appointments, and handling small household maintenance. I serve with a holistic approach to those in confined situations. Socialization, health and safety are my highest priority; a true professional Home Maker. I have raised 6 children, have 8 grandchildren and love to invest my life in the nurturing of others. I perceive our life here as short, and our time is to be best spent for the pursuit of Faith, Family and Friends. Only those things in life that are eternal matter. It is my utmost priority and pleasure to bring joy, comfort and companionship to those I serve. I have some college experience emphasizing in the the medical field. I have a current Vocational Nursing license in the state of California, to which I am in the process of changing to Texas. I can not work as a LVN , but do have experience working with children and the elderly.
