I was raised up caring for people beginning in my own family. At the nudging of my mother, I became an LVN in 1985. After the passing of my father, I neglected to keep my LVN license current but remained in the field of caring. I enjoy helping others accomplish their day as well as family members observing positive change in a homebound loved one. I have a long history in caring which include but not limited to, psych care, dementia, hearing and vision impairment, physical disabilities and so on. I take my work seriously and respect individuals for who they are as well as what they may be going through.

My personal experience with caregiving began with my mom, who I took care of until she passed. I realized that this job was a good fit for me because of that. I am a people person, and getting to help someone that needs it makes me feel great! I love to smile and try to make at least one person smile daily. I am a fast learner, and love a challenge.

I became a caregiver in 2012 when a dear friend needed help with her crippled Mother with heart issues and her Father with Alzheimer's . Little did I know the journey would change my heart and my life forever. Elderly people are the most precious lives and often pushed aside. I believe they need to be cared for at the highest level and treated as a V.I.P. They made this world we live in and deserve to be cared for and treated special until their last breath. I love making them feel loved and special. I love making them laugh. Their last year's should be their BEST years not their worst. I have an excellent track record with caring for the elderly. I humbly admit my patients have always requested my return as their permanent caregiver. I love my world as a caregiver as I am a servant at heart. I gave up a successful career in broadcasting to work full-time taking care of the elderly and I go to sleep with an inner satisfaction at the end of each day. Elderly people are my world and I am here to do for them what you cannot do because of your other obligations.

The reason why I chose this path is because I have always been in Health Care field starting with geriatrics and psychiatric. I am a 52 year old woman, married 34 years. A non smoker, lover of animals, living many places both here and abroad through my experience with the Army. My husband is a 26 year Army Retired Veteran. I am able to perform basic daily household tasks, including: cooking, cleaning, organizing medical and beauty appointments, and handling small household maintenance. I serve with a holistic approach to those in confined situations. Socialization, health and safety are my highest priority; a true professional Home Maker. I have raised 6 children, have 8 grandchildren and love to invest my life in the nurturing of others. I perceive our life here as short, and our time is to be best spent for the pursuit of Faith, Family and Friends. Only those things in life that are eternal matter. It is my utmost priority and pleasure to bring joy, comfort and companionship to those I serve. I have some college experience emphasizing in the the medical field. I have a current Vocational Nursing license in the state of California, to which I am in the process of changing to Texas.
