I truly believe caregiving was what I was called to do & I'm so thankful it's my passion! I have over 15 years of experience, mostly with seniors & working with Dementia/Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, & terminal illness. I assist my clients by providing companionship & help w/ bathing, dressing, meal prep, laundry, house keeping, dishes, meds, appts, shopping, transportation, scheduling, keeping care logs, & any other daily needs. I have experience working w/ the Hoyer lift & wheelchair (both manual & electric). I do my best to get clients up & around, keeping their blood flowing and muscles strong. I have been working in the healthcare field for 20yrs, and have work and all kinds of settings with many different clients and different stages of health. I became a caregiver because I like providing companionship and getting to know people. I like seeing positive results from my clients and their family. I am proud receiving my certification in Phlebotomy, EKG, and Patient Care Technician from the University of Texas at Arlington. I am certified in CPR and First Aid. I am also National Registered Certified Medical Assistant.

I have an Associate Degree in Nursing from Ivy Technical College of IN. I have worked in an Assisted Living facility in IN as well as a nursing facility. I prefer caring for an individual that would love to live in their own home independently. I have experience with Alzheimer's, mobility impairment and strokes. I am experienced in medicine administration. I have knowledge of diabetes and meal planning.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I treat my client with Respect and Dignity. I have compassion in everything that I put my heart into. I became a caregiver because I started caring for my grandmother since I was young and Then i knew this was my calling. I like to take care of the elderly because they are very special caring people. I am a caring, loving, honest, compassionate and flexible person who started taking care of my father who was diagnose with Leukemia about 17 yrs ago. While taking care of my father, I found joy in caring for others.After losing my father I card for other family members while obtaining my CNA license. My compassion and my personality, I have a very big heart , im a great listener and I treat clients as if they are family . What I have learned throughout the years being in this field is that clients/residents want to be recognized as a friend or family . Most of them are alone and have no one who cares that they are sick , depressed, and feel like they have nothing to live for anymore. As caregivers we have the ability to show them someone cares , even a hug can go along way , Bringing a client there favor food, combing there hair, its small simple things that brightens there day. I started off young babysitting and helping my mom raise my brothers while she worked 2 to 3 jobs. When I was 13 one of my uncles who was sick told me that being a caregiver would be for me he was diagnosed with HIV, I helped to take care of him. Til he passed away . I watched how sad he was, and how people treated him because he had HIV it disturbed me. Thats what me want to be in Healthcare almost my entire family is in Healthcare to help those in need to help uplift those that are down. I enjoy making clients laugh and smile, seeing how happy they are makes me happy. My personal achievement honestly is being in Healthcare.

Hi I'm sara, I'm 25 years old with a strong and motivated mindset. I am always coming up with creative ways to put a smile on my clients faces! Keeping their spirits high has always made a positive impact on them. I started out as a student at a small facility in malakoff tx, I got certified almost 3 years ago and learned quite a bit becoming a CNA. I believe one of the reasons I am a great caregiver is because I take my time, encourage and follow safety protocols when working with the clients. I keep it professional and I know how to keep what could seem like a bad day a great day! I have worked in nursing homes, hospitals, home healthcare and hospice.
