My name is April. I've been a caregiver for a little over twenty years. Taking care of others is a real passion for me. I treat my patients how I want to be treated when it's my time. When I'm with my patient they receive my full attention if that means sitting and just listening to their stories or holding their hand and calming their fears. I bring all my experience and compassion in with everyone I care for.

Mature, nurture, and Care giver

I was 15 years old and just started my freshman year of high school when I was placed in a class called Intergenerational Studies. For 2 hours each day I was taken to the nursing home called Golden Years there in Elgin, Tx. I started off just getting residents from their rooms to come and do activities with me. But it wasn't long and I was working side by side with CNAs, RNs, and at one point the DON had me shadow her for 2 weeks. I just got really interested and a few years after graduation and having my son, I pursued a CNA certification and was assigned the hospice hall and the "lockdown unit" which was occupied by the more violent patients and those with conditions such as Alzheimer's and/or parkinson's, as well as those with behavioral health conditions. I honestly just fell in love with everything about caring for the elderly. Even the hard and very emotional side of the care I provide is something I wouldn't want to stop doing. I would love to get my CNA back but just haven't attempted to do so since my husband passed in 2011. Since my high school days I have worked with all ages of people, from a 2 year old little princess to a 98 year old gentleman I referred to as Fred Astaire due to them looking like twins. He loved it and would smile so big when I walked in every day; and every day he would say "Good morning Ms. Judy (Garland). You feel like dancing the day away?" It's things like that for which I love my work. Please feel free to ask anything, I would love to tell everything now but there is just so much I've been blessed to have experienced with so many different people I'd never be done.

Hello! I am Nikki, I run my own Massage Therapy practice and have experience working in physical therapy clinics and Chiropractic offices. I come from a family of Social workers and have always enjoyed working with the elderly. I am a caregiver by nature, my purpose in life is being a conduit for healing. There is a special relationship between caregiver and patient and I cherish being trusted with this important role.

I am very patient, understanding and compassionate. I have well over 25 years of experience in providing care to a wide range of patients/clients. Primarily I've worked with Alzheimer's/dementia patients, I enjoy being able to help and provide care for those who are no longer able to fully care for themselves.

I have a caring, nurturing nature, soft spoken and compassionate. I don't rush my clients and have a great relationship with them. I am requested to return regularly. Working in a cancer hospital my whole career, I am very good at taking care of and anticipating the needs of my clients, but also filling the void of loneliness that many of the elderly/ill clients experience. I was honored with Employee of the Year in 2019 at my previous employment.

Hi! I'm Lyla. I have a passion for senior care work. I myself have assisted in helping my father until his last day battling cancer and Agent Orange. Just recently I have cared for my mother aiding her through her stages of Dementia and hospice care. I have worked 5 years as an Assistant Manager for an independent Senior Living Facility here in New Braunfels and am currently working as an independent through Carelinx . My experience is broad. I care deeply for seniors and get along well with everyone. I am empathetic to making sure they enjoy their final days compassionately, peacefully and within their own home.
