I have been working in the healthcare field for 20yrs, and have work and all kinds of settings with many different clients and different stages of health. I became a caregiver because I like providing companionship and getting to know people. I like seeing positive results from my clients and their family. I am proud receiving my certification in Phlebotomy, EKG, and Patient Care Technician from the University of Texas at Arlington. I am certified in CPR and First Aid. I am also National Registered Certified Medical Assistant.

Hello I have been a CNA for over 10 years. I've worked from Texas to Colorado during covid. Recently I had my first child who is 11 months already so I am finally going to settle down in one spot. I've lived in Corsicana for 17 years so this is home. I followed in my sister's footsteps who was a CNA first and in my opinion the best if I can be half as good as she was. I like the one on one time with my patients versus the nursing home environment which is fast paced very little time with each patient. I've worked in nursing homes for all 17 years either with an agency or the facility it's self. I've worked as a sitter for different families as well during my time.

I believe that my knowledge makes me a better, more understanding, and compassionate caregiver. I believe that aging at home is an excellent alternative to care in a facility. A great caregiver can make that possible. I know that to be a great caregiver I have to be caring, compassionate, intuitive, and motivated to ease the burdens of physical and mental decline. I have to adjust my behavior to suit the personality and preferences of the person in my care. I also have to be accountable, as my care can make the difference between a client suffering quietly or happily thriving. I love being a caregiver. I have been learning how to take care of people at a young age. My first job was back in hawaii when my mom left me with her patient to go back home for a family emergency. I have to rushed to hawaii and become a full time caregiver to my cousin with disabilities. I bath,groom,clean, feed her. I took her to her appointments and checkup and everything that a caregiver do. I learn alot from that experience and I enjoyed it. This is why i want to be a caregiver so that i can extended my knowledge and gain more experience from it. Just know it will be my pleasure working with a beautiful person like you. What attracted me most to be a caregiver was just the ability to provide someone comfort and care.
