Hello, I have been a caregiver since 2009. I received my CNA in 2017 and has been working as a CNA since. I enjoy being able to be there for different people providing the care that they need. I enjoy interacting with the elderly and supporting them in every way possible. What I enjoy the most is knowing I can make a difference for someone else and being able to provide the best care as possible while they're in my care. I am very proud that I chose this occupation and hopefully one day I will become a Nurse.

I am extremely compassionate and enjoy helping those in need. I'm very friendly and down to earth. My great aunt passed away in a nursing facility and I was not able to leave my job in sales at the time to care for her. The poor care she received is what motivates me today to provide quality care. I enjoy getting to know the client and being able to assist them in performing daily activites. Caregiving reminds me that at some point in time we will all need someone.

my name is Melissa. I am very caring and outgoing. I have worked with public for many years and been in the medical field for 15. I was attracted to caregiving after taking care of my grandfather, and my great aunt. My grandfather was on hospice and my great aunt used to live with my other grandparents who had passed so I took care of her and took her to all of her appointments. I would have to see the number one thing I love and enjoy most about being a caregiver is letting these people be at home where they want to be and take care of them. I went into the medical field because I care and want patience to have all that they need and home caregiving is definitely where that's at . I guess one of my best personal achievements, but I'm proud of is pushing myself to do in-home caregiving versus being in a fast pace, work environment, which I loved. This job gives me such a great feeling every day to just be able to keep these people comfortable and happy.

I began care giving in 1998. From that year I have had no other kind of job and have rarely gone without work. It was a fit! With twenty years experience I have real intuition of my clients' needs and a lot of enjoyment in knowing them.

My personality traits are patience, determination & having empathy for others. The ability to help others in their time of need. What I like most about being a caregiver is seeing others happy when they know they hsve help they can depend on. A personal achievement I am proud of is taking care of my mother in law all the way to the end of her life journey. I learned a lot about her care.
