In my 30 years of experience I have always strive to make a positive difference in the lives of every client I served. Providing a level of care that is only rivaled only by the standards I would expect from own love ones. I believe efficiency leads to quality health care. Making a positive difference in others lives give me a sense of personal satisfaction in the field of work that I've enjoyed all these years.

I having been a police for over 25 years, my career changed suddenly in 2018 after I lost my sister to cancer. I was away when she passed on and when I came back I was told that my sister's health detorriated so much and she had no caregiver to assist her even to get to hospital at times perhaps she would have atleast lived longer if there was someone to assist her. I was disappointed to know this and from that day on I decided to go out and care for those who need help so here I am and I always want to give the best I can.

My Patience and Excellent listening skills are what make me a great caregiver. My relocation from California 21 years ago to help my grandmother recover from a stroke made me see my true compassion for helping others. I have 20 years experience in the field 19 of which I have been certified and proud to say I've never had to have it taken away from me for any reason.

I am a licensed CNA with over 17 year's experience as both an hourly and an in-home 24 hour caregiver. I have many year's experience in other related healthcare fields as well and am also a Licensed Veterinary Technician. I have Nurse Delegation certification, BLS/HCP CPR and First Aid cards, as well as Mental Health certification. The last 2 1/2 years I've worked with predominantly one client providing care for all the activities of daily living (including transportation) and companionship as well as acting as a healthcare advocate. I've also spent 4 years with an Alzheimer's client providing in home care including physical therapy assistance and hospice. I have provided care for clients with multiple health concerns including hypertension, stenosis, heart disease, depression, paralysis, digestive disorders, and cancer. I also worked during my training in a nursing home. As a side note, I have learned tremendously for 5 years the many aspects of case management acting as a POA and Healthcare Representative/Advocate/Case Manager for a family member and other clients so am able to provide those kind of services as well if needed. I previously worked as a Veterinary Technician for 16 years and in a prior position provided at home medical care for my client's pet as well. I can also provide Clerical Support as in prior positions I reviewed/maintained medical and other records, facility admission/release forms and contracts, mental health assessments, legal documents, and auto and homeowner's insurance policies. A few things about me that makes me an amazing caregiver is that not only do I believe to still give them there Independence in a safe manor but I also care deeply from my heart and try my best to always get all there needs complete. One thing that made me interested in being a caregiver was when I was 10 I used to go to my great grandpas retirement home and help out with everyone. I enjoyed it so much, seeing there faces when I would help with something or just sit and listen made me feel like I won a million dollars. It's the most rewarding thing in life is to give back as much as I can to others that have done so much in life. One of the most enjoyable things as a caregiver is completing a goal that boosts up there confidence. When I first meet someone and they have alot of trouble with something, I help work on it and once I see the progress and smile on there face it makes me so happy to see them happy. That's all I strive to do is make it easier and happier for them . A professional Achievement I have had is that I have been a caregiver for 5 years and havent once had a horrible experience. I have gotten so much knowledge and have been through tons of experience I feel like nothing is too difficult for me to achieve. Seeing people and there families happy truthfully is an achievement itself.
