I have taken care of many families in the two years that I have officially worked as a caregiver, however, I like to say I have been a care giver for most of my life. I took care of my grandmother who suffered from Alzheimers for eight years. Taking care of her helped me realize the importance of companionship, respect, compassion and patience to not only my patients but to everyone. Hello! My name is Apolonia and I am currently working fulltime as a CNA at Clearview in Juneau, WI. I started the nursing assistant program back in 2009 in my senior year of high school and became certified in 2010 shortly after my son was born. However, my first job working with elderly was as an activity aide for the Christian Home and Rehabilitation Center in Waupun. I really enjoyed being able to get the residents out of their rooms to share laughs, reminisce about the good old days, and to just be there for them when they needed someone to talk to. After a year, I decided that I wanted to pursue working as a nursing assistant, so I obtained a position with Century Oaks Assisted Living Center in Oshkosh. Yes, it was a long commute from Waupun everyday, but I absolutely loved it. I started when the second building opened, so not only was I a new cna but I was working in an environment that was entirely brand new and we all grew together. We had an amazing team of people and it never felt like going to work. We just became like family. In 2014, the company was bought out by Capital Senior Living and I stayed working for about a year and then decided it was time to take the next step. So I applied to Clearview because it was closer to home and I now have a more consistent routine for my son. I plan to stay working for Clearview fulltime, but I am looking to take on a possible part time, temporary position or even be on call certain days. Either way, I am definitely looking forward to caring for your loved one!

I am a very caring, patient, and responsible caregiver. One of my biggest passions is helping others. From the time I started working as a CNA to now I have loved every part of it. This type of work is so rewarding. Getting to know the residents and learning more about them is one of the best parts of this job.

All i've ever done is care for other people mainly family members that's what makes me happy. I decided to make caregiving as my career after years of taking care of family members. my mother was a nurse she taught me a lot about caring for people. i took care of my mom for 16 years until she passed away in 2018. i know she's very proud of me showing the love to other people as i showed to her when cared for her. i love most about caregiving is making a difference in someone's life helping make their lives more meaningful. i'm proud of the good care i give to people and the joy i have brought to their lives and most of all taking care of my mother knowing she was happy all the way to her last day. there's nothing more i'd rather do in life but to bring happiness and joy in people lives
