What got me started as a Certified Nurse Assistant when I was little I got to take care of my grandmother on her last days. I got to spend time and talk to her about Jesus. Im a Christian I put God in everything I do.

I'm very upbeat with clients. Never do I bring my home/personal problems to work. I love my clients and treat them like they're my family. I always love to help anybody with anything. My clients tend to give me 4/4 stars for what I do for them. I really enjoy learning about them and getting to know them as a person. Every time i try to do something and get it done is a accomplishment that makes my heart happy. I'm also a Navy veteran and owe all my discipline and morals for the job to my time served in the military. I'm familiar with different lifts, using medical supplies and equipment, preventative care and bandaging for wounds/ulcerated bedsores, blood pressure and glucose monitoring. I worked in an emergency room as lab, secretary, and multi skilled tech for 13 years so I have seen a little bit of everything.

I became a caregiver when I realize, no one else was going to be able to fill the needs of my granny, Granny had a stroke and blood disease but was ok .. I was in Atlanta about to open hair salon with my best friend, Meanwhile I get call from my daughter granny wasn't getting any better. A week later I went home to visit granny as I walked around the house and saw how poorly she was managing, I knew I had make a difficult choice. I walked away from my business ... and put my life on hold. as it were to care for my granny who have giving so much to this world ..It was a choice , but it was also true that choosing not to help her was not an option , Not a choice and obligation to the one we love.. Before granny pass she would always say to me .. you are God's choosing one.. Love ! After that I took care of my best friend mom,,and my neighbors love ones .. I've always know my calling was to help others at the same time I knew I wanted to be caregiver

I enjoy working with people. I'm very empathetic. I'm a great worker. I think patience and compassion are essential. This is a job that requires a lot of tolerance for challenging situations, and good communication and a positive attitude also go a long way. Additionally, you need endurance and physical ability to support patients with certain tasks.I enjoy being able to help others in ways they can't .

I have found that my passion/calling is to care for the elderly and/or individuals, who can't do so for themselves. My heart is overwhelmed with genuine happiness when providing care and/or maintaining a personal relationship with each resident, client, and/or patient. I sincerely love fulfilling my heart's desires & passion by providing care, love, companionship, friendship, and even medical care to individuals; resulting in them having a sense of peace, as they go through life changes and having to deal with situations that may be unfamiliar. I find that doing so & providing the utmost respectful care to each of them, brings forth a growth for even myself, as I continue my education into becoming an RN (later to bridge into Nurse Practitioner). Daily, I am seeking the latest knowledge and skill so hopefully I can improve my care traits daily, to a wider/higher demand of clients. I am most definitely proud of a personal achievement in my life pertaining to my husband (who was diagnosed with late stages of Testicular cancer twice)! After receiving a prognosis of 18 months, I decided to further my education & resources, in hopes to find more options....and I did! After nearly 2 years, he is now in remission & cancer-free! This is not to boast about what I did, but instead the 'determination, drive, & passion', that I was blessed with. I will ALWAYS go above & beyond in providing the best care for clients & their family members! I believe there is always room for growth and in order to do so, you must first humble yourself to what you were called to do, whatever that may be!
